Taking advantage of coolness. Put a meatloaf in the oven. First time I've used it in months. 😊 With just one smallish pan, it looked sooo empty. Fixed that with a BIG pan of brownies -- double batch  and a potato to bake. Veggies ya know.
Chocolate is a veggie.... it comes from beans!

I have officially joined the Grandma group! I have a grandson!!
DDIL was planning a home birth, did all the work, found the midwife team etc. She went into labor yesterday (though I think it's been a few days actually), team was set and at their house. The baby's heart rate would drop too much every time she pushed. The birthing team said - time to transfer to the hospital. Ended up with a C-Section. Baby is in NICU because his blood sugar goes low, but rises when he is fed. Hmm just typing that seems like "of course that would happen". So he's being monitored. From what DS has said they can only look at him. Doesn't sound right to me. Mama Bear inside me is growling. They're at a hospital that no one likes. All fancy and new, but it's not one to go to. Not that they had a choice.
Now we're in a sit and wait - ~should be at the hospital for two nights (translates to home on Friday). They are local so that's good.

Congratulations!

I had a friend who did a home birth, with midwife, but started hemorrhaging and had to go to the hospital. I seem to recall that the hospital staff was not the nicest...since she was a "home birther"
