Since you all are farmers and ranchers and probably look forward to a winter break, I might get run out on a rail for this, but here it is anyway! 😁

Considering where I live, ummm May is 6 months away. Might as well accept it now, go to Yellowstone tomorrow, and then enjoy town getting quiet for a bit :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
Oh and someone remind me that I don't have to worry about animals when I complain about it being -20 and needing to go to work.

Every season has it's own "push".... yes winter is a break from the planting, and hay making, and harvesting... and we have Spring and Fall calving seasons... so don't have that to worry about so much.... BUT feeding chores in cold.... wet.... and often BELOW freezing temps is not fun.... maybe a little less hectic but busy in it's own way with the animals... lots more feed toting and water toting and slipping and sliding kind of STUFF !!!!!!!

Fortunately for me, the hardest parts of winter chores come in small batches. The hard freezes usually don't last long, a week in the 20's, then back up above freeing and everything thaws out. But rain, lots of rain, mud, cold, y'all can laugh, but it's cold to me  I'm usually wet, cold and miserable. Slipping and sliding in mud and slogging through poop soup. It seldom snows, but when it does, I just stay home until it melts and is gone. At least hurricane season is over.

Coffee is ready. Church this morning, this afternoon, I dunno.

The reality is that winter here is just starting to hit. I see forecasts for weather in the teens, but then back to about 30 for the lows. It becomes a "get through" thing here. Lots of businesses are shutting down, and this week town will start continue to empty.
Up early to run before church. Want to watch football and do laundry after. Also think I should go for a drive tonight.
Have a blessed Sunday all.
