:hugs:hugs Things like that make you appreciate the little things...and miss not having someone there to "think of it".... NOT having to do it all yourself... and "kids" that do not think ahead for your stuff, but will think to do for other people... yeah, I get it...
Like I said, I can't even begin to fathom how much.

Woah Nellie! @Baymule

Even if I adopt him tomorrow I can't take him home immediately, they'll neuter him first. Then I would pick him up and take him over to the "sitter".

Question for dog trainers: would it be better to not confuse him by bringing him home before taking him to the foster lady for the two weeks? @SageHill Others?

If I get him, that is.
:fl

I appreciate everyone's enthusiasm.
:hugs

Personally, I'd just bring him home. Crate Thur for this week & see how he does for F-S while you're home 3 days. Only a few days left to work & decide. Is DS able to walk him? Is he there any of those days? Watch him in crate a few hrs to see how he responds to it.....I think you can work out the few days you're at work. 😁

Maybe the neuter could be mon/Tues of next week....that's half your weeks work days. How long do they keep them after?? Might cover all those days. Crate others.

Totally agree with @Mini Horses -- even better if you can take him back for the neuter on Monday. The time he spends with you is priceless. I don't think you'll confuse him - you'll just have a little more bonding time.
I have a feeling they won't let her take him before he's neutered. But, I agree that would be best. Once he's neutered they would probably send him home same day.

Thank you, all. I appreciate your input.

I want to bring him home asap. The problem I anticipate is trying to settle him into a new household with a house cat, new rules, and two family members who are just capable of walking, etc, once I have given the dog some training. They will not be keeping an eye on him if he's loose in the house, so he'll wind up crated for 11 hours while I am at work.

That's the rationale behind having him boarded until I retire. I don't have a room I can keep him in, safely, as my home has an open floor plan. 🙄

Anyone missing a rooster?

I'm wondering if someone dumped him.
