DH is now off to work. Got a big heavy bench loaded and put back together. Packed most of it full of boxes and stuff before wrapping it up. Got it loaded over the axles. Trying to make the trailer as balanced as possible. Really would not like to have a rough ride all the way there. Our weather looks to be changing here. Not how I expected. Been watching it pretty close and now today it's showing rain for the next week and a half at the least. Ugh! I need to get outta here with this load before the rain get here. Not looking good. Will make packing the trailer even more of a pain. Sure hope the trailer is sealed up enough. The big bench being loaded took up a good amount of space. Now to pack things around it that I packed last night. DH stayed up this morning packing stuff out of one of the barns that can go now. Got up early again too. I bet he will be glad when I'm on the road just so he can rest a bit. 😂 Still need to figure out how to safely transport our sewing machines. The cases I thought I had are way too small for them. Maybe a box with a ton of crumpled up paper to keep them from moving around a bit. Running lower on house stuff now. Have to still be able to live here while we're still here. I was trying to pack to the trailer ceiling but hubby had a good idea. Pack boxes as high as we can so things don't fall off then put extra animal cages etc on top. Light but stacks well. Making progress but feeling stressed about not being on the road yet. Especially now seeing non stop rain coming and things being in a stock trailer. No way I'll be home for christmas now either. Really didn't want to be on the road on christmas. Nothing good seems to come of that. Just taking a few minute break to have some coffee and give my feet and back a break for a few. Then will get back to it along with chores.
Y'all have a great night! Sweet dreams when you get that far. :hugs

Great idea!
Also, I've driven solo a few times, and keep an organizer next to me with wipes, cash/change in a zip bag for tolls, phone charging cord and bank, hand lotion, sanitizer, note pad and pen, physical directions in case I lose the GPS signal, something to nibble, plastic bags, tissues, roll of paper towels, etc.

Good morning everyone!
Finishing up a little early. Made really good progress. Still can not believe how much we've packed in that trailer and it's still not full. I'm starting to believe there's less loads than we originally thought as long as we pack the trailer well. That's a good thing. Just wanted to pop in and wish everyone a wonderful day! I'm off to read a bit then hopefully go to sleep.
Have a great day everyone!!
:hugs

I really like these bags I bought off Amazon. I pad with some of my fabric stash then they go inside a cabinet or on top of stack with strap attached hook in trailer wall.

Looks like flight controls of a NASA space shuttle in the center console there. Be singing; Ground control to Major Tom...

@RR Homestead something you said bothers me. You didn’t want to be gone or on the road at Christmas because nothing good would come of that. I totally disagree. You have the wrong attitude and you need an attitude adjustment. Here ya’ go….
First of all, you are going to leave ahead of the rain. So less worry there.
Second, this trip is one fantastic CHRISTMAS PRESENT to both you and your husband. First load to your new home. It doesn’t get any better than that!
Third, put on your happy face, sing Christmas carols, hymns and praise God all the way. Pray, give thanks, ask for his presence in your truck and He will gladden your heart and light your way. Do not worry about things that haven’t even happened. You are prepared, you are locked and loaded, so GO.
