That ain’t a song for the road, that’s a song to drive off in the ditch. If I had hearing aids I’d turn them off. That song makes the ringing in my ears sound like Brahms Lullaby. It might be your road warrior song, but it ain’t mine!

Busy day here yesterday.
Popping in from a snowy morning. 34 out and snowing all day.
Last day of actual work before break, got the rest of the week but it'll be movie and game time tomorrow and Friday. Two events tomorrow that need homemade cookies. Could split a batch between both, but decided to make one batch of dough last night and I'll make the other when I get home today.
Clock says 6:50, should probably get breakfast and head in. Have a lovely day y'all.

Looks like flight controls of a NASA space shuttle in the center console there. Be singing; Ground control to Major Tom...

Blech. It was a rental car, not my first choice but the only car available within 30 miles despite my reservation.

@RR Homestead something you said bothers me. You didn’t want to be gone or on the road at Christmas because nothing good would come of that. I totally disagree. You have the wrong attitude and you need an attitude adjustment. Here ya’ go….
First of all, you are going to leave ahead of the rain. So less worry there.
Second, this trip is one fantastic CHRISTMAS PRESENT to both you and your husband. First load to your new home. It doesn’t get any better than that!
Third, put on your happy face, sing Christmas carols, hymns and praise God all the way. Pray, give thanks, ask for his presence in your truck and He will gladden your heart and light your way. Do not worry about things that haven’t even happened. You are prepared, you are locked and loaded, so GO.

Speaking of road music, the only good thing about that rental car was my decision to pay extra for satellite radio since there was no CD player. When I was feeling a tad tired I put on talk radio, which kept me alert.

I probably need to pick up some sort of player for upcoming trips.

Still need to figure out how to safely transport our sewing machines. The cases I thought I had are way too small for them. Maybe a box with a ton of crumpled up paper to keep them from moving around a bit.

Yesterday was my sit with Kit day. And a Kit first --- holding his bottle (he saved a first for Grandma!)

Today is lesson day for detection training. Got all my students presents wrapped in the nick of time. Each getting a coffee mug with pics of their dogs.

Today's weather is calling for rain and wind, so it will be an inside kind of day. Tomorrow, we're going to drive around the lake, stop at some of the towns, do a little shopping, grab lunch somewhere. I'm looking forward to some of the views of the lake. Hopefully I'll be able to get some nice photos.
