Started my oldest on her first cross stitch today. 
it's little barn scene I posted a little ways back.
She's done plastic kits with yarn so knows the general idea. She's doing very well.

That is beautiful. I'm enjoying your craft. I used to do needlepoint. I made lot of stuff and gave it away as gifts. I got a couple of pillows back when my aunt and grandmother passed away. I really ought to get them out and use them.

I would love to see the pillows after you dig them out. A thing of beauty is a joy forever, but it needs to be out where you can see it!I had talked with a friend about crafting and she said she normally kept stuff she made while I tend to give things away.
I think part of my motivation for making things is to express love. I have a few WIPs for myself that I have worked on and off the last several years but don't have consistent motivation to keep working on them. Perhaps I need to pretend I'm giving them away to get them done.
I purchased a new pattern this afternoon so I will probably at least prepare the supplies or actually start working on it later today.
I also finished the gray on Rafiki's fave that was missing.

I probably need to get a rotary cutter and straighten the edging. The scissors don't work very well for that.
