New to the Goat community!! I have some questions!

I just got my three nannies from an auction and wasn’t told anything except that they were females. I’m trying to find out breed, age, and if the white one is expecting? I am a new goat owner so this is all a first for me and my husband.

    Pregnant?

Hi! Last year in March, I bought a Nigerian Dwarf doe kid from a great Nigerian Dwarf breeder who shows her goats at the ADGA. We bred her in February when she was 11 months old and now it is June and we have no idea if she is pregnant! Her due date is July 3rd however, her udder has not formed...

    Alternative goat pregnancy tests?

Hi, I bred my doe Gracie on February 8th this year. I’m not 100% convinced that she is pregnant. I was considering drawing blood however, I am not confident in doing so and am afriad I will hit an arterie. Are there alternative ways to tell if a goat is pregnant? How do you tell? Thanks in advance!

I responded to an ad and really liked this 2 year old small goat with the colors I wanted. In later talks with owner it was mentioned that doe had been exposed to a male goat in August...

    Worming During Pregnancy and Lactation

Have a Nigerian doe that looked “rough.” She’s nursing trips that are growing well and we are milking her once a day. Mucosal color is pale. Took a fecal to be checked to be safe and she came back positive for stomach worms and “a few coccidia.” Our typical regimen for this result would be...

    Pregnant doe with watery eyes

We brought home a clearly pregnant Nigerian dwarf. She is due end of February. We just noticed her eyes are a bit watery. She was digging around a few flakes of Alfalfa while we were there so could it be Allergies? Or Pink eye? What can we do that won’t affect/hurt the babies? Thanks!
