right now I have 8 cows all BeefBuilders(Tic Tac & Nugget have moms that are from a dairy cow dam and a beef bull sire and both Nugget & Tic Tac are from the 50% dairy and 50% beef dams and their sire is a beef bull all the rest of the cattle are 50% dairy and 50% beef) Waffles(Waffles was first named Whirlaway but I changed his name) Rolo, Rosemont(who is named after a racehorse), Toffee, Tic Tac, Tootise, Checkers and Nugget. Toffee had her calf and its name is Tic Tac. I sold Seabiscuit last thursday.

The hen could have a physical injury if a larger mammal like pigs stay in the pen with them. I'm not sure of your set up but we have 2 acres of about 50 chickens and some Kune Kune pigs. The hogs would sometimes step on them. When I had a pony in the yard she would break their feet and they would always walk around limping. We eventually sold the pony to a local and the chickens are much happier now.

Otherwise it could be internal/external parasites, like worms or mites. Add dewormer to their water (you can find it at feed stores) and check under feathers for any little bugs feeding. In some cases it could be a respiratory infection. If she looks sick, I personally suggest pulling her aside in a cozy pen with electrolyte water and protein feed. Moving her away from the flock will protect potential spreading of a desiese, reduce the hen's stress, and observe about how she lays eggs (I wouldn't be stressed if she doesn't lay an egg on the first day, they typically take time to get used to new spaces before nesting). It includes that egg binding can be caused by stress, predators, obesity, dehydration, etc.

yesterday I clipped Elvis and when I was done we saw some bugs on him so we looked up what it was and it was lice so my dad went to the vet and got something to pour on his back to get rid of the lice.

Volleyball practice started last Wednesday. I am missing a whole week of it for state fair. In Volleyball there are 2 teams since there are so many kids the red team and the black team the coach's haven't put out a list of who is on what team yet. The red team is all the kids who the coach's know their parents or the kid is really popular and the black team is just whoever isn't popular or is really awful. When picking the teams they just go by your last name they should just do it by skill level not last names.

You are right about the popularity contest. They should draw names out of a hat or something that would be more fair to all the kids.
