My broody hens are the best. Sure, you miss their eggs for 3-4 months but in return are more future layers 🤣
At least I don't miss their eggs because they are bantams so we don't need the eggs 😃

This morning when I went out to the coop I saw the babies running in and out of the run they were going through the little squares on the bottom and then running back in so I put boards on the bottom and I thought that would be enough to keep them in the run but later I went out and the yellow chick was outside the run cheeping and all the boards were still in place so I don't know how it got out. I put wire around the bottom but the wire only covered half the run and the other half just has boards so when I checked tonight I don't know how many chicks there are I looked under my Red hen and she had her chick but I don't know if the leghorn had any under her because she wouldn't let me reach under her. So I really hope that all 3 babies are in with their mamas tonight
