my alpine goat has is not acting like herself. i just got her about almost 1 month ago. she has been laying around a lot. i go out there and i try to feel under the belly by her utter but she jumps up. and walks a few feet. one side of her utter looks like it has some milk in it. and she looks fatter. but her poo has changed over the day from brown to yellowish. is she pregnent or is she sick i have looked all over the internet. the people i got her from said that she was exposed with a boer goat buck. so they said she might be pregnent. so thats why i'm not sure Really Need Some Help! thanks. and how do post pics?

To post pictures, you need to post 10 times first....just post a few "hi" posts and then you can post pics.

Yellow poop sounds like she is sick. Normal poop for goats is solid brown pellets. Do you have a vet available to see her?

Our system needs to recognize members as "safe" before they can post pics, the number of posts is not disclosed and if it is figured out it's not appropriate to state on the forum to let potential spammers be aware of our community safeguards. Saying "hi" randomly throughout the forum to boost post count is inappropriate. Saying "hi" or welcome to new members in the New Member Introductions section is fine.

If you're new and you're not able to post pictures yet, you can try to post a link to your FB, Photobucket or other accounts that have online photo storage. Otherwise you can go out and be helpful on the forum or make appropriate comments to threads.

Take her temp.

Do you know when she was exposed to a buck?

Take a poop sample to a vet for analysis and treat as needed. Yellow poop would make me think bacterial issues.

Start giving some supportive care such as probiotics. Add some ACV to her water - make sure that the water is fresh and clean.

Keep trying to get a pic posted so that we can have a look.

You will need to upload the image somewhere that hosts pics like Facebook or Photobucket something like that. BYH only relays the pic to this forum doesnt store them itself.
