Welcome.... I am sure you will find lots of helpful info on this site... I love it.... Was a member for a LONG time, then lost our home internet, so was MIA for about a year and a half... Never was much of a posted, but LOVED LOVED LOVED this site... as well as the other 'sister sites'.... (backyardchickens, sufficentself, etc. etc.)....
I am also from Wisconsin, Northern part of DUNN COUNTY....
We have a bit of everything here on our farm... chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, guineas, even had emu's for awhile.. as well as goats (both dairy and meat, as well as pygmy and crossbreeds), sheep, horses, rabbits, llama's, pigs (feeder and potbelly), beef and dairy cattle...
Our kids are very active with FFA and 4-H and take great pride in raising the animals. Both as a hobby and a 'job'....
I am sure you will learn lots and make friends from this site... Enjoy...
