:hide thrilled with our new pigs they are suppose to be kune kune one has double wattles its a boar suppose to be intact and was told 8 months old haven't seen any testicals so i thinking he much younger. Also have 5 females of different ages three look to be the same age as the boar who is suppose to be unrelated. One is suppose to be a year old 20200528_194028_001.jpg and possibly pregnant I tend to doubt it. Also another female who a bit younger then her. Anyways I thinking the the year old is more like 6months and then second biggest might be 5 months or 6 months and then the three smaller are like 2 months or something let me know.

Don't really have a reference for size in most the pics.

Kunekunes are smaller pigs, at 8 months though he should be close to 150lbs. As far as testicles go, you can see those on a 3 day old pig, so you should definately see them on an 8 month old boar.
Not my pigs but the top two pigs are a kunekune boar

I would be inclined to say they all look pretty young. From what i can find online it says 12months old should be 225lbs and 24" tall.

I would say this one looks bred, but thats only based off of how close her stomach is to the ground.

The boar and two younger females are about the same size height wise (when we first got them) as my meat buck which is a Californian rabbit. The oldest female is the same height as our collie mix dog. The boar is finally showing alittle something last i looked but nothing that i would say impressive lol he looks to have a small bumps forming back there. But I keep watching him. It's one reason i pretty sure he didn't tell me the truth on their age. And apparently he didn't tell thentruth(or didn't know) that the pregnant female is j uliana pig and the other three females are already part j uliana one for sure part kune. The boar is kunekune. So we go from there atleast. The female hasn't popped yet I keep being slightly impatient lol. The three smaller were able to get in and out of cattle panel with out trying to hard now that they been eating more they are finding it more difficult lol. 20200603_182044.jpgthis is our male gruff20200603_174610.jpg

Are you feeding them sour corn? Whole corn is hard to digest, you will see it in their poop. Put some in a bucket, cover with water, plus a little more because it swells up. Put a lid on the bucket. It can sit for 3 days to a week or so. It gets scummy on top and stinks. Pigs love it. Pour in a trough, they love and drink the sour water too.

Currently i was feeding some corn and sow and piglet feed. Mostly the younger three graze i don't lock them in a pen unless its a bed time. The other two dont get to come out because of the eating of my corn garden and then the one oldest trying to fight wirh miss priss non stop so they got locked in a pen. Been giving them hay until i can build a new pen in the field for them.
