You are going to have so much fun with Caleb! He will keep you busy.
Caleb has revived play at the foster's house. Her dogs are 13 and 8, and the hound is a 5yo foster, who I believe is on hospice (had cancer in her eye). The older dogs are having fun playing with Caleb, and we're planning some future play dates. You are going to have so much fun with Caleb! He will keep you busy.
Looks great!!! If he has respect for gates/pens --- and it looks like he does and/or the fantastic foster taught him -- it doesn't have to be substantial.Fencing is up:

It doesn't look substantial, but I think it will work. I have it wedged on the right between the wall and the cat tree, and also the wall and an aquarium (150 pounds on a heavy cabinet). It's also wedged between two heavy wood bookcases on the left. There's some give, but that makes it harder to climb over.

Caleb doesn't try to climb over a similar set up at the foster's.
He will be supervised, too.

Perhaps. But really this is the best outcome for any lost dog (short of reuiniting with their original owner). If I ever lost a dog or cat, I would desperately hope someone had found them and loved them and taken care of them. The foster said that she's sure Caleb had a decent home, as he was already housebroken, has just had a couple accidents, AND he already knew "sit".
Is someone, somewhere, wondering where he is right now?
