How is he liking this weather change????
He isn't a sissy about rain, but doesn't go seeking out and splashing in puddles like a Lab. This evening he didn't seem enthused about the cold rain, but still took time to investigate and sniff every bush.

Today (Monday)

We had a walk at the park, saw other dogs. I did not allow interactions, especially with the woman whose huge collie type dog was dragging her as she repeated the claim "He's friendly!"

Later we had a couple yard walks, and one down the road, not quite all the way to the stop sign. I've not seen the two loose dogs in a couple weeks, hoping they got picked up by AC.

Mid afternoon I was sitting in the living room, Caleb was loose in the house. Our friend Bill was in the kitchen, and said to me quietly "There's a confrontation, Debbie and Caleb". I slowly and quietly got up, walked into the kitchen, saw Debbie was by the washer and dryer, cornered near the outside door. Caleb was standing, head up, tail up slowly waving, looking at her. I said "Good boy, good boy". Debbie was puffed up, made some low sounds. Caleb just stood, looking at her, tail waving. THEN DEBBIE WENT FROM A CROUCH TO A SIT. Her fur settled some. I said "Good boy, Caleb", and he turned his head to look at me. I stepped up and took him by the collar, then started loving on him, rubbing his chest and praising him. Debbie slunk past him, around the table, and headed down the hall. She stopped halfway down, turned around and sat, watching. Caleb looked at her, then he walked into the living room.

A little later I took Caleb outside, into the backyard, and he started acting up, lunging, jumping. I immediately took him inside and put him in his crate. When I went back outside there was an enormous GSD running around my fenced-in backyard! I tried calling the dog, in a friendly manner, wanting to get him out by the gate, but he kept running around the perimeter. Then suddenly he was in my back neighbor's yard. He apparently jumped into my yard, over the 4' fence, then into my neighbor's yard, and eventually escaped.

No wonder Caleb was upset, someone was in his yard. He's still agitated, but I took him for a couple walks, and gave him a new stuffed toy to destroy. He's quieted down.

Caleb has made so much progress. He finally found his place with someone who cares enough to teach him manners, commands and give him lots of love. Well done Caleb, but better well done to Fuzzi.
I have a willing animal, that helps. I also have some friends with experience who give me advice, input.

Caleb needed and got a TO earlier, not sure if my looking like an eskimo had anything to do with his acting up.
