When the gov't got on the kick of butter being bad for you.... and margarine was so much better.... I refused to eat marg at the table... I told everyone that sure, butter was bad for you if you sat down and ate a whole pound at a sitting... but that I would rather eat something that has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING added to it except some salt... than to eat the "GLORIFIED PENZOIL" they were promoting....

Guess I was wrong... it is closer to plastic than it is to penzoil..... but it was always "greasy".... so I figured it was as good as penzoil for greasing your insides...

I am sure most everyone on here knows that Penzoil was a trade name for oil.....but maybe some of the younger ones don't know that... Do they still make penzoil ? Haven't looked in the oil aisle in ages.

@farmerjan Hey @CLSranch good to see you back... Catch us upon life....

Was kinda busy. Was welding in KC for about 5 months usually 45hrs so I got to come home every other week, then did a 5 week stint in Coffeeville KS just north west of me. Since I've helped with the processing for the ranch next door and looking to stay home doing some welding and fence work just south of me for a few weeks anyhow. That'll start after the rain stops which we've actually been getting some of. At 2.5 and gaining this morning from the last few days and 2 & 5/8's a couple of weeks ago. I'm still keeping the horses penned all but a couple of hours a day (unless it's wet) the cattle are in the winter pasture all but 4-6 hrs a day, trying to get the summer pasture to actually grow before I full fledge let'em eat. Haying of course.
I also did put some fertilizer and lyme out. It's time to do it again. I only put out a minimum amount. I don't want to go spend all my shutdown money right now without the ability to replace it. I also need a tire and wheel and inertube for the 9n. I said 7 months ago I can get 1 of those each week after a few checks and by now it'd be back up and running. A tire every other week for 1 car or the other or some other HAVE to fix expense keeps coming up. Knowing the processing was coming and the wife had 2 been bad (may pops) tires and 1 of the new ones got an unfixable I said just go ahead and get all 3, so I have a spare for stock trailer. 1 has been used and I'm scared to drive to much with the welding trailer because of no spare. Incidentally the car has the same tire size as the welding trailer but is 3 sizes smaller than what should be on stock trailer. It sits a little lower than it should which I wouldn't mind on the road but across pastures and creeks is why the wiring is ripped out again and needs completely replaced again. These rainy days would be a great time to have a big garage and redo the wires and lights on the truck and trailer.

Mostly I've just been staying off the internet, but we're doing good here. Also I just slaughtered a mini heifer. 200#'s of beef about $200.
