Remember that yours are PRIME animals, not average. 🙂
But still saving $ by not taking them to the sale (fuel & TIME) then not paying $ for/to commission at the sale.

@SageHill Yes ask a decent price but don't shoot yourself in the foot and make them prefer to go to a sale to not get stiffed, or just simply don't be screwing someone just because ya can.

Good point. Commissions on a group of lambs I took to a sale near me were $11 per lamb. Plus diesel.

Getting desperate.... been out of work so have been hoarding every penny. Down to the last few k-cups of Christmas flavored coffee & still a week to the first paycheck. 😬

Can't believe I bought hay for the stupid cows instead of coffee.
"Make good choices" the little voice in my head said. 😡 Shut-up you little goodie-two-shoes... I'm the one trying to drink gingerbread or eggnog flavored coffee in almost April.

Two inches and rising on snow, call me crazy, but I'm tracking excavator back to the hole and continue digging today. It's almost perfect, turn coffee on go check on ducklings/goslings, rotate couple hundred eggs by hand and go back up rotate some more and by the time done, coffee is done.

Commissions on our cattle are running around $50 a head... on a trailer load of animals it is running over $750-1,000 for the commissions... plus our diesel/time to go to the sale also...
I agree to not shoot yourself in the foot and overcharge... but these are prime animals like @Mini Horses said... healthy, and flavorful from eating out in "nature's buffet" ...
