I have a tall insulated steel tumbler I use on weekends, holds enough!Take a thermos of coffee with you
Sounds like hen food, as suspected. Extreme weather throws some of mine off laying, also.
Feed is 18 months old or so, complaints about drop off in egg production... YEAH, I don't think I would be feeding it to my layers....Morning all. Usual day, 3a club for about an hour, up to feed and turnout dogs and sheep. My hen stopped laying four days ago. She isn’t molting, has adequate housing and food. The only change is I started feeding layer pellets from ‘23 when there were complaints about drop offs in egg production from homesteaders. Hmm. Coincidence? Something could be eating the daily egg. Could a snake eat an egg a day 4 days in a row? No signs of other predators, no shells.
Changing up feed today.
I saw that! Then I thought of “our” Boone and the chick he just rescued.Anyone see the news article on TODAY ?... Missing child walked over 7 miles, lost, and a rancher's ANATOLIAN/PYR accompanied him for over 2 miles it seems... protecting him.... Rancher was driving down the road and saw the dog with the little blonde haired kid walking along a fence... Saw this article in CT forum...
Dog's name was Buford.... said he loved kids...
