Do you have a warm space you can bring her into? Have you had issues with coccidiosis. I know your runs are nice and dry. If her immune system is weakened from her molt, that could make her more susceptible. Do you have any Corid on hand? It wouldn't hurt to add some to her water.
Never have had issues with coccidiosis. I have Corid, but re: bringing her inside...I'm concerned about taking her away from her flock, bringing her into a place with dog, cat, humans. I don't have a quiet room for her.

@fuzzi thanks for the info on fire ant control. The very low temperatures last night sent them to ground. I can get them this spring though. They aren’t bothering much where they are. The tub structure they built is empty of ants and will be used to fill in the holes Sophie has dug in pursuit of the wiley pocket gopher.
@drstratton i didn’t know Corid could be used for chickens but why wouldn’t it? Three lambs born this morning. A set of twins to my gorgeous but notoriously bad mom ewe. The dog crate may get crowded. Time to break out the playpen, a puppy/small critter pen I got for a steal. Let em pee in the yard. Also a good training tool as I can sip coffee and watch the dogs interact with penned lambs. The bottle lamb is a triplet. One sibling is right at mom’s side and the other wanders around the pasture commenting on everything, but shows up well fed morning and evening. Sheep.

I hope she turns around for you. It's hard when you don't know what's causing the issue.

I've used it successfully many times. It's kind of my go to when I don't know what's going on.

She's still under the wheelbarrow, hard to reach. I held some tasty greens up to her beak, she didn't react. I took some dry clean straw and tucked it behind her, to block drafts. I could try to drag her out and give her Corid, but it would have to be syringed or tubed. She's not responding to stimulus, I'm not hopeful.

I had a baby roo that I had to use a syringe. I spent hours with that little guy, he grew up to be a nice strong roo.

If you do decide to use the syringe, I'd add some honey to it. The extra energy it would provide could help.

Getting her out from under the wheelbarrow will be a task. I was thinking of going out there at dusk, when the others have gone to roost. Corid and honey by syringe, why not?

Poor Esther.

Esther didn't try to escape when I picked her up. She got .1ml Corid and 2 drops of @drstratton honey. She smacked her beak over the honey. :love

She didn't seem to care about her surroundings, and it was getting really cold. I put her in an old Pet Taxi, on a bed of clean straw, and she is now in my spare bedroom. The light is off, but I will check on her later. I couldn't leave her huddled under the wheelbarrow, as cold as it's going to be tonight. If she dies at least she'll be warm.

You're giving her comfort and the best chance at survival. I hope she pulls through. :hugs

Good afternoon all.
Very tired today. Haven't gotten much accomplished yet today. Fed the calves. Mom is slowly showing a little interest in them. It usually takes her 2 weeks so I'm not frustrated yet. She's not being real mean to them but definitely doesn't want them yet. DH is up already. Neighbor came home blasting his music and woke him up yet again. It still to this day blows my mind how inconsiderate people are here anymore. He's heading out to work on his rig since parts just arrived anyways. On my way out to grab the parts I was rushing and sprang my ankle. 🤦‍♀️ Came in and put arnica gel on it and have it elevated. About to grab an ice pack and go out to sit with DH for "moral support" as he calls it. 😂 Have cream out warming to make butter later before milking. Both calves are doing well. Sickly calf is making improvements. Heifer due on friday is getting a ton of edema. I just keep telling her to squeeze them cheeks! 😂
Time to go grab an ice pack and refill my coffee. DH probably already has my stool waiting with a bucket to elevate my ankle.
Toodles for now y'all! :hugs
