Good afternoon all!
Got up early to wait for the whistle delivery since it didn't get delivered saturday. Turned out he didn't need a signature even though tracking said it did. Time to run a few errands and take the tires in to be re balanced. It's a colder day today. 60* and a bit windy. Rain is expected for the next few days. Not sure how much. things are just starting to turn from mud to dry. Probably be back to mud by the end of the week from the looks of it.
Y'all have a great afternoon! I'm off to toot (that's what I call the whistle sounds so far) my way through errands attempting to whistle all the way.

Played hooky from work today. Slept very little & lousy last night. Just felt crappy, sore & tired from tossing & turning. Still feel tired! Chores were a challenge this morn but it warmed up! Things began thawing. I dumped the ice from all water tubs, cleaned & refilled! So mornings won't have water toting the rest of this week Frigid is gone! There was ice 8" deep in a couple. We have been cold here.

I just fed for evening....an hr early, no one complained. Now relax with hot tea and Aleve. Bedtime will be early. Will have a loooong work day tomorrow! BUT water chores are done!! Such a relief. Will shorten chore time.

The goats were so happy to lay in the pasture and take in the sunshine....it's been a few weeks!

Lots of my taping/wrapping is precautionary, especially right now. I have 5 months of training to go. Nothing serious right now, just getting the legs back into shape. Bought a massage gun a few years ago and I swear its been my best impulsive purchase.

Thanks! Not all whistles are the same for sure. Within less than a minute I was making sound with this new one. I've been tooting it on and off all afternoon. I might even say whistling with it. Getting better by the hour. Pretty excited after a long time of trying with the other one.

Thanks I shouldn't be surprised. When I went home it stormed crazy here. While not expecting massive storms we're going to end up with maybe a couple inches of rain combined. Will be sure to keep run off ditches flowing. I was just getting to where I wasn't having to put on muck boots for everything. Oh well. Soon we'll be walking on rocks and ice instead of mud.

Ran all the errands I needed to run today. Pretty successful. 3 of the 4 tires came home with me properly balanced. 1 was so bad he offered me a new tire. Should be in tomorrow and they'll get it mounted and road balanced. Then I'll go back up and pick it up. Need to go get hay in the next few days too. Want to have enough to last through DH's trip.
Going to make deviled eggs for the rest of the week. Still need to make granola for him to take. My DF gave me some ideas of things to make for him. One was to make dough, roll out and cut into circles, fill with stew I have canned then close and bake. Kind of like a hand held pot pie. Hope they turn out. Never done anything like that before but know DH will like it if I can get them to turn out. Then i'll freeze them and send them with him. Already made chili and rice for him to take. Will probably make a pot of beans and make burritos also. Picked him up pretzels to take with him. Also ordered a bunch of nuts to snack on. So he should have plenty to snack on and eat on his trip. May think of other things but that's what I got in the works so far.
Time to go do chores. Not a ton to do tonight which I'm happy about. Will probably cook eggs and make the dough. The dough can sit in the fridge until tomorrow when I have time to make and bake the "pies".

Stopping by while sipping coffee. Got up an hour ago to watch Olympics. Now heading to the gym. Pretty good weather here today, lots of snow in the forecast and that is a good thing for us.

Morning chores were so much nicer -- back to something normal. Only a thin layer if ice on water. Someone had already broken thru one, just a little push & done. What a relief after hammering for 2 weeks. Mid 50 today. YES!!

And I slept hard & well last night. Makes a difference in everything. Did some stretches when I got out of bed, also helps & wakes up the body. Now it's coffee time. Fresh, hot, really nice & comforting. Caffeine will kick in before long. I'll need that for work today....better get moving.

Good morning all! Heading home today. Fly out at 4, to hopefully be home before 11pm. I'm going to miss the sunshine, looks like after Wednesday it's going to be mostly cloudy with highs in the 40's for the next 15 days. Looks like a couple of days of possible rain thrown in there. Hopefully we'll get some.
