We are just pilgrims. It's good to be reminded of that, especially as we watch the world decay around us.

I’m oddly relieved. Sometimes it seems it’s just me noticing. Time and time again as one appalling news story after another slithers across my feeds I think “People should know better.” And today I realized they just don’t.

Pretty Wisp tangled with something BIG last night. She's a smart girl, wise around dogs, suspect it might have been a coyote. The wound is like a gouge.

She's semi-feral, so I'm just going to keep an eye on her. She was basking in the sun on my steps earlier.

I just had a horrid thought, gunshot?

It would explain the gouge better.

And things that make you go HMMMM --- DH has been doing a lot of the grocery shopping since he's now retired. So I ask - when did they change the default size of sugar from 5lbs to 4lbs???!!! He says it's always been that way - I say NOOOooooo dear. So that change has to be recent right?

They just sneak it in and can get away with it. Because there's nothing we can do, except change brands.

They started selling the smaller bags of sugar years ago, but I could sometimes find the 5 pound sacks in certain stores.
