Coffee anyone ?

When I went to PT, the lady was saying it is a pinched nerve, but that pinch could be in a number of different spots.

With me, I bend forward too much, on the couch, at a desk... always forward. And I can't remember if mine is pinching in the hip or spine... but I am supposed to stand, lean my rear against a sturdy table, and gently lean back, then hold.

Also, sitting down with a hard fat book under ONE cheek, to make the hip bones sit crooked, that helps to un-pinch the nerve.
I have an issue in my lower back, it affects my hip and makes it hard to walk. I had a shot for it, but didn't really help. Then I couldn't get into the Dr during Covid. I could hardly walk. Suffered with it for 3 years. Thought it was bursitis. When I finally got in, they sent me to PT. The therapist knew exactly what it was. The main exercise she had me do is called a nerve glide exercise. I also do exercises to strengthen my lower back. Gave me my life back.

So...my urologist did not reply to several messages. I called my primary doctor (PCP), asked admin if I could come by and provide a sample. Admin was obviously over her head, clueless, but after a long wait on hold told me to come by.

I was so cold from fever that I turned the car heater on full and hot. I went into the doctor's office, provided the sample, and tried to give the admin my latest insurance information. It took her 10 minutes to enter it. I told her that my prescriptions need to go to Harris Teeter. I went home and crawled under a blanket.

I got a message from the urologist's nurse. She wasn't in the office, go to the ER. Uh...NO.

I checked back with my PCP. Admin said she thinks the doctor said I have an infection, will call in a prescription. She "thinks"? I asked her to clarify, reminded her that the prescription should go to Harris Teeter. She said she'd call me back. She didn't.

Urologist sent a message around 10pm for me to make an appointment to come in, to give a sample. I had indicated in a previous message that my primary had a sample already. The urologist's office is about 20 miles away, which I don't feel capable to drive as awful as I feel.

In the morning I called the primary doctor's office. Admin will confirm prescription being called in. "To Harris Teeter" "Yes".

Ninety minutes later I called the pharmacy. No prescription on file. I called the primary. Long wait on hold. Doctor will be calling it in.

Call back from primary admin...where should this prescription be sent?
:he
I almost died from an infection with a kidney stone. Went to ER 3 times, it's an hour drive. First time, they gave me pain meds, didn't do a urinalysis. By that evening, I had a fever of 102°. We went back to ER, hubs went in they were swamped, the nurse he talked to said it's not unusual to have a fever with a kidney stone. Hubs didn't know what to do, we rented a hotel room. During the night my fever was 103.6. Went to minor emergency, saw the nurse, I was fading fast. She talked to the Dr, came back and sent us to the emergency room. My kidneys and other organs were shutting down, I suffered a type of heart attack, called broken heart syndrome. I had sepsis. Spent 9 days in the hospital. I will always go to ER with a kidney stone and will always make sure they do a urinalysis. The stone was on only 2mm, they had to remove it, my body wouldn't pass it. That was 2008, so far I've not had another one and pray I never do.

I'm scared for you, having so many of them and especially having an infection.

Sad state for the world...

There's snow in the forecast, but today's high is in the 50's, and it's beautiful out. I took my bike out yesterday after work and it was super nice. Thinking about doing the same today and exploring. It feels like the weather is too nice to not be outside enjoying it.
Wish I could run, but I still can't, and I am trying to hold myself back a little longer.
I should probably head into work in a second, y'all have a lovely day.
Biking is better for you joints anyway. I used to really enjoy biking, getting to go FAST!!! was so much fun.
:weee

Thank you. I'm getting better now that I finally got antibiotics. I ordered a refill through an online pharmacy, to have on hand for any future "healthcare" stupidities.

I'm glad you're doing better.:hugs I can't believe the run around they gave you. A fever with a kidney stone isn't something to mess around with and your providers should know that.😡

Thank goodness. I try to get by on the fewest possible doses of anything I’m prescribed because throughout my life I have Never had access to reliable doctors. Not unreliable access, unreliable doctors who may decide that prescribing me something will fret an insurance company. Kids don’t try my philosophy at home. I’ve also ardently pursued homeopathics.
