Moving slowly this morning, coffee brewed, thinking of what I need to get done this morning before I head out later. It's been a long time since I have done a solo trip. Except for work related travel I've always had Ron with me. It just feels weird.

High of 75°F, yeah I'm not going into work today, going to stay home and work on my service bed. Three more goslings are pipping and out of 40 ducklings 13 made it here alive. Somewhere between here and Iowa they decided to ship them to Great Falls MT which is few hundred miles past this town then back this direction. They are not getting here in 3 days anymore.

Yes it feels weird. Take his picture and put it in the passenger seat. As long as you are feeling weird, talk to him. It’s ok. We all get weird, feel like we are not all there, half happy to be going, half sad because he’s not with us. Go and enjoy the company of friends that you haven’t met face to face. Get someone to take the group picture and have fun.

I planned a 3 day weekend. Waiting on an oil change for part of morning errand run. Then home.
Have a few things to do late day -- top all water!! -- since I'll leave early in morning. It's like, jump into clothes, pour hot coffee in thermos & boogie. I'll have all else set -- or so it's planned

Weather is lovely right now, heating up tho. I need to get my AC back into window this weekend. Little earlier than normal but, it's heating earlier. Be prepared. For now a couple open windows at night & ceiling fans are fine.

Next week goat auction. Looking at 8-10 leaving! Already prepping to separate, set loading area panels -- they're not missing this one like last month!!! Goats out, $ in, feed less.

Agree with @Baymule 's post... try to look at it as an adventure... take him with you and tell him all the things you are seeing... since his memory was starting to fail I am sure you had to "talk him through some things" so do it the same way...
And yes, we WILL find someone to take a group picture of us.....
Then you have 6 months to recover before the next reunion........In Sept......

Momma hen growls as I approach but 5 fluffy butts are under her & 1 more half way. 4 days ago one was lost, looked to have been stepped on and shell broken had chased a hen off the day before and found an extra egg in nest. Had started with 7, 1 lost and now 6 hatching. That's 100% so great job mom & roos.

Let me guess you carry them all in your wallet. Perfect for a skimmer to skim them all in one go as they pass by you in public. RFID blockers, eh 50/50 on working, best thing is plan ahead and carry the one you plan to use, leave the rest at home.
