Was a good day at work. Things went well, always a plus. Home about 4, time to visit animals, watch hen & chicks, pick up eggs and have a leisurely heat & eat meal (leftovers ). Dishwasher going and a load of wash to hang out tomorrow. 3 day weekend!!! Yep, it's separate auction boys tomorrow. Move trailer, clean out feed bags & be ready for Sat morning load up -- off to auction. A day to visit some friends there. Sunday, mow yard & relax. Sounds good at this point

No alarm for tomorrow morn. Slacker day

I overdid yesterday. And I skipped using DMSO before bed. Mistake. BIG mistake. I woke up after midnight with severe leg cramps. It took about 15 minutes for them to calm down after using DMSO.

I guess I will be easing off some today, but at least the iris bed is dug. The rest of the planting won't be as strenuous.

Got trailer in position to clean -- probably an overall hose off, inside & out. Remove a stack of feed sacks destined for dump today, a long with other things that need gone while going there. Good day as it's partly overcast, mid 70 temps & just a slight possibility of light rain overnight...1/4 " ? One buckling going will be off a trained milking doe, my fav actually. So will start milking Sunday. May be her last yr breeding aging out. Have a full sister and a daughter but, not the same. Brat & me are BFFs.

Not sure I'll get to lawn mowing, dry time . But that's ok. Can do Sunday afternoon. Want to do some hoof trims Sunday, also . Busy weekend. But all farm time.

Shearing day tomorrow or is it? There may have been a miscommunication. Working on that now. Twister is sulking in a stall, the ewes are bewildered and the LGDs are getting a day off. The unpacked tent needed at Hubbs’s golf tournament next weekend seems to have a life of its own and no matter where he stows it it’s in the way. Moving here gave us about twice the house but somehow half the room. Ugh. Some days there isn’t enough caffeine.

8:30....in to change clothes & get 2nd cuppa.

DS & I corraled entire herd, put trailer in place, set up a chute (love my portable panels!) and removed those not going....38 ish. Moved chute slightly, opened trailer and loaded 9 bucklings!! I'm letting the settle with some hay until I have my needed coffee!!!!! Maybe 15 min....then off to u load at auction. Two were youngish but nice, so should sell well. I can't keep them all! Half are full Boer, others 1/2 & 3/4. Hope there are good buyers. 9 off my feed, pasture & nerves.

Gotta get!!
