I’m in Kans as s’s, something about me and crossing the country in a day is what I’m good at, but hate doing it. Guess I’m used to being anywhere in the world in 18 hours mantra
Not like I speed, top speed is 75 mph despite 80 being legal in most places. Found out my truck weighs 12,780 lbs with the plate of steel on the back and 11,133 lbs without it. I’m going to need a F600 soon as I know when loaded with tools I’m going to push the max at 16k lbs. F600 is like a F450 in body style and such, but can be pushed to 22k lbs

Wow. I once drove Dayton, OH to Manchester, CT in one day. I recall being exhausted, sitting in a daze at my inlaws' place. Internet says that was 750 miles. I rarely drive more than 500 miles, now, I know my limitations.
ETA: it's just over 500 miles to meet with my grandchildren, DD, DSIL next week.

Good morning all. Another wet start to the day. We had 3" in two nights tue-wed and almost another 2" last night with a little more still coming in. Several tornado warnings to the south. It looks quite here or it's bad enough to the south they aren't showing us.

Sunny here today. My dirt road is washed out in a lot of places, up to 2’ of water flowing across it 2 days ago, but magically it is dry in most places. Crazy.

Light sprinkles before day break but, about same a real heavy dew. Apparently we are being blessed with 2 systems -- from south tonight and it's getting blown out by one from West -- both carrying some rains. Predictions say 1-1.5" over 3 days. That's ok.
Have 3 days at home.
I see 9 chicks trying to zip out and hear chirping on occasion. Expect a couple to pop out later today. By Sunday should be pretty much done & then into a brooder. I'll get that finished to use by tomorrow. Everything here to do. Where to put it!! Porch or barn? 
This is a lot of work. Feeding this morn, I sure admired the hen & her well behaved chicks!!! Didn't need me at all. 
Second cup done. Time to get more things going.
