Coffee anyone ?

Only got to 50°F yesterday, high of only 70°F today. During my loads of delivering rock yesterday the starter in the dump truck decided to go out. Trying to move it and equipment is fun starting the day off, not like you can just push start it though I can if I park on a hill, though one caveat... If the rig sits long enough enough all the air leaks out and the brakes are set, so take one rig to air the dump truck up then release the brakes and pop it in gear...Fun

Oh and another gosling hatched last night, seems to be a reoccurring theme. Has to be female as it's quiet.

Maybe not as bad as Texas, but with the humidity it's been brutal here. Last night it was 84° at 10pm. Eep.

Naomi was still on eggs at dusk. Today is anticipated hatch day. Wish I were at home. She's got to be uncomfortable.

Got 1 cup of coffee. Bro in law feeds am/pm now and helping out with garden. Starting to enjoy it.
Boone is starting to do better with problem solving and trying to figure out what I am asking. It’s much mote difficult to make myself clear to him than it is to train herding breeds. They are just so darn smart! His mind works very differently so it’s really satisfying to see him think things through. I asked him to bring the TV thing which I have never done. I have asked him to release it when its among the myriad of stuff he tries to sell me but never retrieve it. He opened and closed Fen’s crate, brought me bowls, etc without getting cookies, then when he looked where I was pointing he put it all together. He’s so proud of himself! Good beginning to the day!

We are nearly a carbon copy of that...heat index 100-110..... Hit 100 at 9a.m. in the sun on the temp recorder... back down to 95 now in the shade...too hot for here, especially this early in the summer...

Tomorrow supposed to be hotter... then low 90's after Wed...

Went down the side driveway toward back of farm and saw a herd of goats laying in the cool grass under a huge tree. Probably 30-35 of them...have 45. Light breeze, so I'm sure they were trying to catch some natural AC.

I'd rather have dry heat. We lived in Spartanburg, SC for over 10 years. If the temperature there was 105° it still felt cooler than 85° here with humidity.
