Sixty hours in this project(s) since last Thursday started off with putting rock down for driveway ended up with building new driveway, firebreak, getting water tank (120 miles away) and making a hole to put it in, expanding current house pad, cutting trees down and now going to build a new house pad. With everyone under the sun calling for something.
Funny I am so far off grid yet manage to keep in contact with customers in a place with no cell signal, this is how :gig

@fuzzi chicks happening? 21 days is average, so maybe. I know the concern is the removal/handling of them being removed while you were gone. 🥴

I looked out for goat herd this morn & they weren't in usual area or pattern of graze. Then, realized it was earlier than usual -- they were on schedule, not me. With the heat, I see more resting outside the barn, it's cooler. All is well. Chickens are having their usual difficulty with the heat, staying under trailers for shade & cooler temps. Dumped a LOT of water yesterday -- bathtub warm -- refilled with cold well water. Yeah, winter you break ice & add heat. Summer you dump & refill :th

Grass is thick & tall in pastures. 👍. No hay needed.

I went out to the coop early this morning, before 6, to listen. I didn't go in to disturb her. Silas was crowing loudly, would have been hard to hear them, anyway. I should be home around 5. Will let you all know.

I've been turning the Sussex eggs daily, the ones I've gathered since I got home, just in case. If these don't hatch I suppose I could pull out the incubator and try again. Poor Naomi.

98* with 112 feel like. :th it sure does feel like!! Had to dump/refill a couple tubs. A couple in shade were still very cool to touch, topped them off. Those of us in the south are frying...hotter than normal.

Yeah, too hot to be out BUT cool water for hydration & cooling is livestock mandatory in this weather. So out ya go 🥰 After all, I can't AC their barns! The big shade tree was in use again today 😁. It's really a temp difference under there, too -- I checked.
