No chicks, yet.

I went out to the coop early this morning, before 6, to listen. I didn't go in to disturb her. Silas was crowing loudly, would have been hard to hear them, anyway. I should be home around 5. Will let you all know.@fuzzi chicks happening? 21 days is average, so maybe. I know the concern is the removal/handling of them being removed while you were gone.
I looked out for goat herd this morn & they weren't in usual area or pattern of graze. Then, realized it was earlier than usual -- they were on schedule, not me. With the heat, I see more resting outside the barn, it's cooler. All is well. Chickens are having their usual difficulty with the heat, staying under trailers for shade & cooler temps. Dumped a LOT of water yesterday -- bathtub warm -- refilled with cold well water. Yeah, winter you break ice & add heat. Summer you dump & refill
Grass is thick & tall in pastures.. No hay needed.
