Great, thanks! Guess I will drag out the dehydrator, never used it before, brand new and an impulse buy last year.Home today and thankful to be! Four days of resets for the front impulse buy wall at dollar generals. Any one coming out has seen the mess. That 4' tall, 20-24' long& both sides packed with hanger clips and shelves -- plus the candy, gum mints crammed up under the registers -- all overloaded with candy, batteries, and sx?@ t. Yeah, those. It's enough to make you cross eyed. Anyway -- all day ea store, 2 of us working frantically, dodging customers. You're sure glad when it's done!
I'm certainly enjoying being home for 4 days. Coffee is lovely -- relax & enjoy is lovely
The figs....ok, I have 2 dehydrators. Yes, 115 is temp & not set in stone. Old one, no settings & works fine, you adjust the openings at top for air flow/temps. Being soooo fluid, figs take a couple days and I switch trays around as needed. You can see one drier than not and move to keep things sorta same rate of dry. Once dried, I put into half gal mason jars. They need some occasional air and shaking. Of course you can freeze them. I don't. I shake, open, sample and close up.Do not use oxy absorbers!! Think prunes you buy -- that's what figs end up like.
Time to make bread, too, as I'm down to half a loaf...maybe later. I'm dragging from yesterday, but at least most of the yard was mowed.

I really want to hang the curtains, but need to mount a long curtain rod first. DS was going to assist, as he's a lot taller than me, but he either has a GI bug or food poisoning. This morning he's finally able to keep down some Coke. I'm not going to bother him until he's better.
