Did you set a date to retire???? Do they know????
Clinical boss (physician) knows it's before the end of the year. I told her I would stay for recruitment (September). Admin boss doesn't know, yet, but I have been hinting. We have a meeting next week to go over my performance review. I will tell her then.

@fuzzi I would wait until after you have your completed performance review in hand to tell boss if you have any performance bonus programs. Otherwise they could tank it out of spite so you don't get your last bonus.
Bonus?
:gig

If I get a good review I will be eligible for a 3% increase in pay, to take effect in mid 2026.

One of my big issues with my employer was when Ron was in the hospital for 2 weeks. I applied for FMLA, was approved, and told I could use my sick time. Then I was told I couldn't use it, only if I were the one sick. I was upset. HR complained to my boss that I was mean to them. She let me know, but also told them that I was under a lot of stress.
:somad

I had NO pay for 5 weeks.

I don't see how they could do that. FMLA is family medical leave, correct!

I'm so sorry you had to deal with so much greed and dishonesty when you were hurting so much. 🙁:hugs

@fuzzi I would wait post review to discuss or further discuss a departure date. If you get a good review get a hard copy in case you need it.

Agree with @Blue Sky ... I would not say another word about retiring/leaving... do the performance review, go through the motions of the new stupid program... whatever...Have hard copies in case you want to go back to some sort of part time work.... might help....
Are there any clauses / "hoops" you have to jump through to get your sick leave cashed out, that you can do ahead of time ???? And then give your 2 weeks notice... or whatever is required... and then leave with your head high.

Hospitals are being run by private equity companies. Ten years ago it was a good place to work. The "bean counters" came in, we lost our bonuses, lost the company picnic, lost our little holiday gifts. Then C0vid, and we lost a lot of good people who were fired for not taking the jab.
