Your growth is a threat to others.
Every skill you build.
Every win you earn.
Every step you take forward.
It reminds them of what they're not doing.
It exposes their excuses.
It challenges their comfort.
In response...
They'll minimize your wins
They'll question your methods
They'll find reasons you don't deserve it
They'll work to pull you back down
This isn't personal.
It's human nature.
The stronger you become, the more insecure others feel.
Prepare for the resistance.
Very true...

Glad to see you haven't abandoned us.

What's been going on with the various neighborhood idiots ????

Weather report said thunderstorms. I haven't heard any. Weather is getting cooler here too. Days are getting shorter. I don't like it either, but there is a purpose to every season. So we just go with it and find what joy we can in the changing seasons.
Today is a leisure day. We've been trying to find time all summer to go fishing. Dale beat his body up yesterday, doing more cleanup in the treeline's, so we're not going to Mardon, where I'm sure we'd catch fish. We're just going to launch here in the Columbia and try to catch fish, sometimes we get lucky here. Then hopefully our son & dil will join us later with the grandkids for a boat ride.

Time for tea, cream and honey! Have a beautiful day! 💞

Hubbs mowed goatweed yesterday and today he had some hay fever. Couldn’t mow earlier because the tractor needed a part. Had a hard time getting it. I went to Walmart yesterday and saw that unmentionables were difficult to find. I asked about it and was told they were behind on trucks. Just a heads up. Years ago my 101 year old neighbor was quizzed by a child about the best modern inventions and advancements. She gave the kid a pretty standard speech about automobiles, convenience foods, general standard of living stuff. Later she pulled adults aside and declared “I lied to that kid, the inventions I liked best were toilet paper and the brassiere.” I’ve always remembered that with a chuckle never thinking it was viable life advice. Have a good day everyone.

I'm poking in.
Weather's getting cooler, got down to 36 this morning.
Adulting is kicking my butt, energy drinks are the greatest thing ever, just a half an energy drink in the morning right now to actually get me going. Need to look at other caffeinated drinks.
Slowly getting used to this small town life, it is weird but really cool. Never imagined I would be somewhere where every two weeks you drive 80-100 miles to Walmart for groceries.

OMG 36?!?!?!!!!! That would be a breath of very fresh air (of course it'd kill alot of crops here). Where are you at now??

Coffee. Cream and sugar if you don’t like it black. Or buy the various syrups to flavor it up. Flavored creamer, the sky’s the limit.

Coffee is ready. Woke up at 4:15. I see a nap coming this afternoon. I used long handled pruning shears yesterday to cut Jerusalem cherry, a type of nightshade. I got 2 big garbage bags full. This required me to be all bent over, my back is sore now. Mowed a lot of goat weeds, will finish up today.
