The pullet that scratched me up will not be in a pot. It wasn't her fault, she's actually calm most of the time BUT she got out and as I was hurridly grabbing her, a goat tried to help.... she flew & I grabbed her mid air. :idunno it's fine, cleaned it up and doctored the scrapped up skin -- old skin is thin, doesn't take much to rough it up. It sure stung when I washed it off! I've had worse.

@SageHill your new grandson is perfect & handsome. Hope they live close 🥰

Glad she's a good hen and not dinner material. Sounds like a zoo...a helpful goat...lol

We were gone and my mom was attacked by one of our roosters, she had a puncture wound and it became infected. Hubs was going to put him down, but got busy doing something else. He was on his knees working with the grapes and that bird flew up and attacked the side of his head. He went in the house, grabbed the shotgun, came out and called, that danged roo came charging at him...boom...chicken and dumplings.

Hope it heals up quickly. Chicken toes are awful dirty.

Just wasn't her fault! Scared by goat. Anyway, surface wounds & scrubbed off well. Put antibiotic salves on it. I'll watch it...yes lots of places those toes go 😳😳.

An attacking roo?? Absolutely in the pot! Plus repeat offender.

Nice out. Just cut yard. May be last for this yr? Nice thought

OK - the pullet gets a stay. Things happen, and boy don't all of us know the skin thing!
Yup - they are just the next town over, so easy peasy and I'll be there a lot. LOL and when he's older there's mutton busting here and heck a pony can be added. :)

I was unmotivated this morning, but I've learned to listen to my body, did some inside stuff. I decided to go outside after lunch, and "putter".

The puttering morphed into taking down the netting fence from around my blueberries, then trimming, mowing, and doing a clean up of debris.

Fencing removed, prior to weeding/trimming:

DS came out and finished the mowing...it looks SO much better!

Yesterday was the the day - DGS got to go home. We of course went and visited and helped, and held 🥰.
OMG ❤️❤️❤️ I could hold him forever. And I told him he and I were going to get into a lot of fun trouble as he grows up.
