I had a poodle when I was younger, they do travel well. He was a smart boy!I'm waiting to hear back from the foster, the rescue organization has already confirmed that my approved application is still on file. I want to meet Maple, then if I think she's a keeper, whatever's the next step. However, I can't bring her home until December (or week before), SO, I was thinking that IF we like each other, I could put down a deposit to hold her til then.
@drstratton generally, small dogs make good travelers. I want a dog that will travel with me.
Lay an old sheet on the sofa.Carson being a big dog, on a farm, lots of dirt and dust, he brings in loads of dirt. He lays down, gets up and I could plant tomatoes in the resulting dirt pile. There is a thick layer of dust under the sofa, it needs to be moved, swept and mopped under........or I could GO OUTSIDE!!! There is a thick layer of dust on the living room furniture..........it needs to get worse or I'll have to be expecting company before cleaning it up becomes more important than GOING OUTSIDE! It is getting to the point that even I cant's stand, so I see a clean house day coming up.
My house is clean enough to be healthy and dirty enough to be happy.
I drive, haven't flown in about 8 years. I'm not afraid, I like the actual flying experience...I just don't like the cattle car process needed with commercial aviation.I had a poodle when I was younger, they do travel well. He was a smart boy!
When we travel it's to play golf or fly off somewhere. I don't want to leave a dog in a hotel. Not fair to them. Maybe one day when our current lifestyle changes.
Now I could live with that. It's things left on the counter, the sink filling up with dirty dishes...etc. Cleaning up their mess, just so I can cook, drives me nuts! This too shall pass...lolCarson being a big dog, on a farm, lots of dirt and dust, he brings in loads of dirt. He lays down, gets up and I could plant tomatoes in the resulting dirt pile. Dirty dishes "soaking" in the sink is okay, but dried-on plates and bowls is rude. And annoying. Ugh.Now I could live with that. It's things left on the counter, the sink filling up with dirty dishes...etc. Cleaning up their mess, just so I can cook, drives me nuts! This too shall pass...lol
Flying is not really fun anymore...I don't like the process either.I drive, haven't flown in about 8 years. I'm not afraid, I like the actual flying experience...I just don't like the cattle car process needed with commercial aviation.
If I were braver I would tow a fiberglass trailer and tour the US. That was our retirement plan before Ron got sick.
Agreed. Stuff just piles up. It is hard when you have 5 adults & 2 littles living in the same house. I cleared out cabinet space for them, but they just don't know how to manage, they shop and stuff piles up on the counters. They have their own dietary needs, we rarely eat the same things. So, that means too many different meals prepared every day. It's crazy!Dirty dishes "soaking" in the sink is okay, but dried-on plates and bowls is rude. And annoying. Ugh.
