Figured you knew the gate hinge adjustment thing...
One thing we do is....... always when the gate it shut... it is up a little bit, on a rock so that it is not pulling down on the hinges while "hanging" shut. Seems to slow down the "gravitational" pull down.

One other thing, you can add a hinge and hinge pin to the gate so it has 3... you can buy the ones that clamp on gates.... sometimes they get broken off so make a clamp on replacement... sometimes it helps hold the weight better...

So many same things -- clean but cluttered, fast filling counters, full sinks, dust & things (winter it's hay everywhere) in places unwanted, animal antics, fence issues ...... I could go on forever

It’s been a weird morning. We are out of coffee. Hubbs left the house to search for some. I was googling something funny (to post here) and accidentally discovered the phrase was also really obscure medical slang for a condition I wish I’d never heard of. So to alter my gloomy mood, a story-
I used to work with a woman of indeterminate age, a hard core death metal goth ex con who serenely converted to Christianity during our acquaintance. I was picked on mercilessly by our new Lady Know It All boss for a time. “How do you put up with it?” my friend asked. I told her I knew three words that when combined, formed one of the most horrifying concepts ever conceived by mankind. Especially when followed with the phrase “toot toot”. The mere thought of the concept and the possibility of sharing it with whoever is giving you a hard time made difficult situations tolerable and even funny. Because once shared said person will ignore the idea. For awhile. Then they will obsess over it until they have to find out if it’s true. And then they do and their life is forever changed. I will leave each of these words in a post to Ambivent Shepherd and clues to find them if you’re interested or really bored. Have a great day all.
Where is that dratted spellcheck when I need it? Meh I feel kind of Ambivent today.

I have no problem at all with my very organized piles (many, many of them), but am annoyed when people mess with my piles, put things on or next to my piles, or fill areas that I want empty with THEIR piles!

It is all a question of the KIND of piles, the nature of the piles, the location of the piles, and who created them!

But here ya go, proof!!! The words "vegan" and "butter" right next to each other!!!

If it is vegan... than don't use butter! That plastic nastiness that you call "vegan butter" is NOT butter!!!

I never want my house so clean that people are afraid to sit on the furniture. I want it clean enough, so that it is warm and welcoming, so that they feel they can put their feet up and make themselves at home!
