So yesterday was my first day to babysit DGS - I told him the day he came home that we would have many adventures. Well -- day 1 of babysitting (just a few hours) we had our first adventure together. He slept most of the time, was up a little, got changed, and as we were walking around our first adventure appeared. A snake in the kitchen. Ah - this lil guy and I are going to have so much fun. We already are. :)

Morning all. A good night’s sleep for me. I nibbled the corner off of some extra strength whatever and blew the froth off of a couple. Yesterday I was moving some feed and chow around and dorked my shoulder. Much better today. Hubbs spent three hours on the phone with the entity that poaches part of his paycheck for an employer health care account. My 5 hour trip to the ER in June ran nearly $1000 an hour. Medicare popped for most of it and we foolishly believed we’d pay the rest with the healthcare account. Nope. Some offshore lassie with the voice and a command of English of Henrietta Pussycat informed Hubbs that in spite of proper passwords, mother’s maiden name, first pet’s maiden name and that of his best friend in high school-
he could not be identified and the account would be locked down while a fraud investigation was started. “Meow bye.” Henrietta 2.0 and 3.0 were engaged. Then
“Can’t meow do that meow on an android”.
Enter the laptop and a negotiation where we may have bartered away a firstborn son of somebody’s. Dear Lord when did dealing with things like this get so complicated? Dear Mr. President please appoint a medical insurance czar. Oh and the meowing form was finally submitted.
If your health savings account was through your employer, they might be able to help you with it. At least they'd be able to let the company know you are who you say you are and get past this fraud investigation. Worth a shot. Sorry you're having to deal with that. They make everything so complicated.

Coffee is ready. I’m drinking it from my new thermal cup. 2 little boys in my Sunday school class brought it and gave it to me last Sunday morning. Their grandmother brings them to church for Sunday school then takes them home and comes back for church services. They are wiggly loud little boys! They were so proud of themselves for finding me a cup with sheep on it! It says warm hugs on it. I hugged them, praised them and their gift, their little faces beamed with delight. I love my cup!

Well, I need to get up. Sleep was not good last night. Hubs wound up sideways across the bed, kicked me in the shin and knocked things off the nightstand, while he was peacefully sleeping. I finally woke him and told him to move. This morning he complained that I rudely awakened him and he had a hard time going back to sleep. I told him that's what he gets for kicking me...🤣

Heading out for another bike ride! Hope you all have a beautiful day! 💗

Hubbs contacted hr who offered sympathy but no solutions. The healthcare account company is a separate entity from the employer. If as I suspect, the account company is offshore, there may be no accountability or service. I agree with the above opinion that it could be a way to acquire access to money AND personal information to be used nefariously. We are the people who lose. The employer doesn’t, they blame the offshore. The offshore doesn’t lose because it’s entirely likely their laws ignore or encourage such activities. Maybe healthcare will come through but I’m very curious to know if Hubbs’ coworkers have had issues.

I'd push it with work. They must have someone that does the insurance contracts. I'm sorry, but sometimes hr isn't always the most reliable. I really hope you can get this resolved. If you think something is off, then I'd also contact the office of the insurance commissioner.
Stuff like this makes me so angry. You worked hard for that money. 🙁
