Coffee is gone, I drank it all. LOL I bought some yard eggs yesterday and I’m having bacon and eggs for breakfast. Supposed to meet a friend at a neighbors house. They just bought it and there’s the bottom of a camper trailer that they want gone. He’s happy to have it and needs to see how he’s going to get it home. And I’ll see what else shows up on my radar.

Beautiful sunshine, temps in 60s.....up at 5😳

Bed stripped down to mattress. Washing all blankets, matt bads, etc. 3rd load spinning out. Flipped mattress and getting it together for winter covers. Coffee, breakfast & chores all over.

Another week or two at home. Yikes! I might get organized.

Got the sheep all weighed yesterday. A couple lamb ear tags need to be redone. Guess those weren't happy with the number they got :duc ;). Seems like fall is really here - lows in the 50s highs in the 70s. I can live with this! Got some avocados from a neighbor - lamb avocados - they're huge, still hard so it'll be a bit until they are ready. Also one of the avocados I picked while I was out grazing last week was ready. Woah - different avocado. About regular size but the yellow-green color inside is dark. SO tasty. Added some to our breakfast sandwiches. Too late in the year for Haas, perhaps it's a Lamb? I'll find out when the one I got from my neighbor are ready. The trees here on our ranch are "survivors" from a long ago grove that was here. No irrigation or fertilizing for them - and has been that way for probably 20 yrs or so.

So, you get a few avocadoes "now& then" from those trees? Consider it a bonus. Just maybe some sheep poo encourages a thank you.
I get them when whatever type it is, is in season, and way more than we can eat. Getting anything to any of them would be more than a chore with distance and terrain. So only the strong survive. They are definitely not pampered trees!! My neighbor on the other hand has a full blown grove with Haas, Reed, Lamb and I don't know what else. His trees are gorgeous - but then he works hard in his grove.
