Family dinner last night, made the lamb neck slices -- oooohhh they were sooo good. YUM
Kit was adorable (biased grandma here). I snapped this pic of DDIL and Kit with Obi and Ree making sure Kit was ok. 🥰. When he's bigger and is crawling and toddling around he's got a big pack to make sure he doesn't get into trouble (or perhaps will help him get into trouble ).

Good morning everyone! It's morning but the🌛 is still out... sigh...lol

I'm still awake, I really need to get some sleep...22.5 hours is way too long to be up.

Too early for tea...lol

Heading back to town again. We have to make a dump run, it's cheaper for us to go to the dump an hour away than to go to our local dump station. We fit it into a day when we have to do some shopping. I will be in town 3 days again this week and again next week. Hopefully it will start to thin out after that.

Gonna try again to fall asleep, before I have to really start my day.

Have a beautiful day all! 💞

@Baymule is your SIL planning to go back to work? I ask because you say insurance "at work".
Yes, she will return to work. She is only 60. She was off for over a year, 4 or 5 years ago due to a sore on her foot that wouldn't heal. It finally healed up, but still had a tiny sore. She continued to have problems with that leg, poor circulation, blocked veins, had several procedures on it. Finally got a staph infection, entry through that tiny sore and that ultimately was responsible for the amputation of her leg.

This morning I have to leave here at 7:15 to 7:30. It's still dark, will have to go out and do chores with a headlight on. Left both dogs in front field last night, I'll walk them across the driveway to the middle field so Buford can go in the pond. This morning is SIL's first Physical therapy appointment, then another doctor appointment, I'll be gone all day.

Morning all, woke up to my watch saying it was 4 outside. This week or next is probably my last week of running outside before I have to switch to the treadmill.
The local library does a "book club" with a cookbook and everyone makes something out of the cookbook. Well tomorrow is the next meeting for that, so I think I'll try out some baking tonight to be ready.

Fall today. We don’t get the spectacular colors in this neck of the woods. The changes are gradual and the colors are muted. The white oak species are dropping acorns now. The sheep love them. These acorns have less tannin and tend to sprout much sooner. I turn the sheep out and they dash to the trees then make the circuit. Red oak species drop acorns later and those acorns are packed with tannins that prolong their “shelf life” on the ground. They sprout the following year and are more bitter. I’m front porch shepherding this noon. Have a great day everyone.

Mine are loving the acorns!! Our oaks are Live Oaks-- and evergreen.
