Yesterday was gorgeous out! Sun, blue skies, T-shirt weather. Worked in the fields mowing parts so goats would go thru and eat the gasses still there. The tall crap has protected the actual grass & no one has been on these 2 fields for several months. Supplement the hay!! Eat up girls. Down to 25 head. Plan for 5 more to sell. 45 were too many for me to like, along with a job.

Also got some "stuff" moved to more appropriate areas...feed/water tubs, extra fence pieces (repairs!) and straightened a pile of wood pieces. So a good day and some things found, now back in place. One of those productive ones. Mowed near a couple gates, shoveled dirt, so we could open easily.

Today I plan to be back out there. Have some board to replace at a water line, a little leak at a connector, hoses to reorganize. Waterline insulation check day.

Another good weather day, warm & sunshine 😊

Up since 6, late enough. Had coffee and a frozen waffle. Puppy-proofing continues as best as I can do before Caleb gets here. Things on lower shelves evaluated, putting things in the spare room until he grows up a little.

Church, then going to assist with a dog (Caleb) bathing project, should be home before dark. DS will need to step up and do some things while I am not here, we'll see how that goes...

Baby Gates are your friend and usually available at Goodwill and such. Also new at Walmart wood frame 14.98 (a bit flimsy) and all sturdy plastic 22.98. My puppies all learn the gates fall on them (for little pups I control the fall so they don't get hurt) dogs if they don't know it learn the gates fall on them --- teaches respect. But it looks like your foster has already taught him gates are to be respected. Get 2. Oh and don't try to step over them, you'll be fine,,,,, until your toe just doesn't make it over and ..... face plant.

Rain so far just under 2 1/2 inches! That's reading the gauge with binoculars. That should keep us green for a few months. More rain predicted of course.

So glad you're finally getting rain.

Morning everyone! Getting ready to head out and clean up the back yard. We took down our above ground pool. It was getting old and we were worried about the liner ripping. We enjoyed it and I will miss it, but decided we've dealt with it for enough years. Need to remove the bricks we had around it and get it ready to plant grass. Hopefully we can tackle the garage/shop today too, it's a total disaster.

But first tea! 🫖☕🍯

Have a beautiful day all! 💞

Winds blowing enough to knock everything out of place. Sun was coming out then some clouds so I have not gotten any projects done. Just ate left over liver and onions for lunch so it doesn't sit in the fridge... Not as good left over but I cooked it all while cooking the other night.

Did not get enough out of that shower to wet the bottom of the rain gauge... :somad:somad:somad:rant:rant:rant
I hope it flat out rains Tuesday like they are saying... we are getting desperate and the spring at Snyder's pasture is getting low... Got to get the heifers and their calves in and get them moved out. It had been holding up so good considering no rain, but now is trickling.. :hit:th:th:th

Two of us trip on baby gates, not best choice. So...I bit the bullet...ordered this as it's very similar to what the foster uses:

The panels all come apart, so you can make separate barriers. It was cheaper than the same item on Amaz0n, and Chewy's customer service gave me an additional $10 off. Win-win!
