Evening all! Been a busy afternoon since getting up early. Things are going faster and faster as far as closing on our new home and getting ready to start packing. I'm being told that it's time to start packing by the mortgage company and realtor. They say there's really not going to be any slowdowns or hold ups at this point. Closing is next week. It's starting to settle in and I'm scrambling to absorb it all. Had to go get dairy grain before it was sold out for the week so stopped by home depot and picked up 20 medium boxes and 1- larger boxes to add to our stored boxes we've been saving up. Should be able to get a fair bit packed up. Will probably go to Walmart and pick up more packing materials that we are going to need. I rarely shop at walmart but I know they will have the best price on packing stuff. Already made calls on craigslist for boxes but they are gone before I can even call or people want more than new prices for used boxes. So the packing will begin this week. I'm hoping to take the first load sometime right after Thanksgiving. Still trying to figure out what i can pack and do without and what needs to wait until later.
Time to go milk while it's not raining. Y'all have a great night!

From what I've seen, selling a house is always crazy at the end. When our son sold their first house, it was a mad rush.
Best of luck to you with everything! 💗

Take all you can. Label the boxes with what room they go in as well as what is in them. Liquor stores have great boxes, just the right size and even have those compartments for small or fragile items.
You can unpack the boxes and put things up where they go, then go back for more. At this point, just take all you can. Think of it as a camping trip. Keep out the bare necessities, pack and take the rest. You are going to make a lot of trips before you move animals and are done.

Coffee is ready. Full day today on a dead run. First Ozel needs to run around the yard for a potty break. Then let sheep and dogs out on the field and feed the ones in pens. Pack up meat in a cooler. Then I really want to go help with the food drop from 9-11, then go to Tyler, meet some friends for lunch, then meet another friend that is buying lamb (meat) then dr appointment at 3:15, then home, probably after dark. I'll have to do chores with a headlight on. Sounds like a fun day. Tomorrow morning, hitch trailer and go to Corpus Christi, 6 hour trip, taking Ozel since her home is the trailer right now. She will ride in the truck with me, not in the trailer. That would scare the poor baby to death. She will spend the night in the trailer, ride in the truck to go pick up the horse and ride with me to go home. Poor dog. She is really getting an Away From Home education.

Woke to a definite frost! Yards & fields sparkling white...surprise since wasn't supposed to be but 38-40. Weather liars. Enjoying fresh, hot coffee in a cold house. Heating up now. Chores, then go to work. Come home to unload a ton of feed, plus move some hay. Sounds like a full day. Refilling cup now.

After my last move 7 years ago, nope never again. If we do it will be up the road as in the next town or county over. Arsehose neighbor stole a piece of our mail recently which I shouldn't be surprised as we avoid mailing out our bills cause we knew this would happen. As the saying goes, walk a mile to avoid conflict, but when one starts, don't back down an inch.
I need some free time to deal with this one, which pulling my tool box out of where I wrench at is going to make room.

Pretty sure stealing mail is a federal crime. Good luck sorting that out!

Essentially have a day and a half of work today. Doubt I will see the sun, and that is what it is.
Full Red Bull waiting for me downstairs, I always go into work early, I will see if I decide to go in less early today.
Y'all have a fantastic day.
