This isn't good for Texas horse folks.

The horse I just brought home came from a stables where no new horses have been added for 2 years, no horse has left and came back. So I felt safe that he is not sick. My new neighbors from Switzerland, the daughter is acting like I brought disease and pestilence to the neighborhood, they don't want me to even come over. I purely understand the need to take precautions, but this woman is paranoid. I saw her out in the field filling in hog rooted holes with a shovel for fear that her horses might get hurt. Gee, how the heck do wild horses survive in the rough country? I'm not going to trailer him all over the place and expose him. I will take him to the vet for a coggins test and I might get the vaccine, I will research that.

Good afternoon all you normal folks! ❤️ First cup of coffee in hand. More packing on the list. Back to work tonight so the weekends over. Back to the day to day for the most part.
Engineer is scheduled to be out at our new place tomorrow. Praying that all goes well. Final last minute "problem" we hope. Supposed to sign closing papers tomorrow. We keep being told that will still happen but I'm not sure how that will happen with the engineer going out tomorrow. With the weather shifting I'm a bit more worried about getting the move started. Stock trailer isn't exactly ideal for very cold/moist house moving. I'm worried the house boxes won't just such up moisture. I'm hoping it's just 1 load for the house and wanted to get it done before the weather got winter like.
Hope y'all had a blessed weekend! Have a great evening!
Lay a long tarp on the floor, pack boxes on it. You want the "fold" to the front, pull tarp over boxes and duct tape it and tie it. Hint on corner grommets, wrap twine around the corner above the grommet or tie a knot at the corner, then wrap and tie twine above the knot.
