I don't think that house will sell anytime soon. $2.9 M
fingers crossed whoever buys it doesn't try to break up the land into a subdivision - though, that would have to get passed all of us close by.
The house belongs to the son of the guy who built it - and he and his wife do not live there. No one does.

Finally got all the remaining breeding rabbits processed and in the freezer. Also got 6 more chickens/rooster processed and chilling in the fridge waiting for rigor to finish. Then i'll get them seasoned and cooking. I will can the majority of the meat then make stock from the carcasses. I'll freeze dry that and get it packaged up and probably packed for moving. Then I'll hopefully get another batch processed and be down to just a few layers that we will keep until close to actually leaving. Very sad walking into the barn and seeing the empty rabbit cages. Now I'll start boxing all the rabbit supplies. Hopefully stuff the boxes and things that don't need boxing in the cages to use up the space in them.
My better half got on the trailer last night. It's worse than we thought. Both sides need to be completely stripped and replaced on top. Unbelievable considering it's 3 years old and allegedly a quality brand. Not impressed so far with it and it seems to just get worse as time goes on. Our travel trailer has the same sealing strips and lasted well over 20 years before needing replacing. :barnie Supplies to start on it are out for delivery thankfully. Get started on that. He also started taking apart the work truck. Replacing the front end parts and shocks all the way around in prep for moving. Also got a few parts coming for my main driver. Feels good to be picking away at things. Praying we actually close next week.
Had to breed our main milker again last night. First real standing heat since calving 5 months ago. Been trying to get her bred back. Hopefully she takes this time now that she seems to be straightening out. Really wanted her farther along before moving her across the country. Hopefully we get her this time. Also have word out to our dairy friends that I need two replacement bull calves so I can get the two beasts that are on her now weaned. Hopefully we'll get them soon and get the grafting process going. Usually takes a week or two with this cow so I have to be here to do it. Going to be tricky but we'll figure it out. If not I'll just send them all to @farmerjan for daycare ;):celebrate:lol:
Y'all have a great night. Time to go milk.

If it was on the way I would say come on... but going from CA to MO does not "pass go, pass through VA, or collect $200"... kinda out of the way in the wrong direction...but I will take them if need be for a bit....

Even if you close next week... how soon are you thinking you have to be moved out??? You don't have your place sold yet??? not like you are "pushed " to get out of where you are ... or did I miss something??? I fully get wanting to get moved... been there done that... and the cross country trips are going to be tiring...
but you have some time to get the calves grafted on the cow...
Hope she took this time for you... when are you thinking moving the cattle???? might be better for her to be further bred than shorter... if possible..
