Good morning everyone. Been a very long night packing boxes. I can't believe how much we got packed yet doesn't look like much has been accomplished. We are whooped. Still a lot to go before I can leave. Disappointing we didn't get farther. There are partially filled boxes all over the place. DH went to walmart just before closing and picked up even more packing paper and bubble wrap while I milked. He got me a super nice brand new ice chest. Made in the USA and on sale. So happy to have a new ice chest. Been 15 or more years since we've gotten a new one. Our old one is cracked and doesn't keep ice for long. I hope this one will be great for all the traveling. Best part is it's tall enough for 1/2 gallon jars which means I can take milk and cream with me without a bunch of smaller jars. Bring on the coffee! :celebrate :celebrate :celebrate
Well it's past time for bed. Y'all have a great day! :hugs

You got this!!! I don't miss packing. Honestly I am not sure I have even fully unpacked and I moved in August.

Slept in this morning, still fighting this crud, the whole town has it. Church in a minute, then I'll come back and make cookies for the kids for tomorrow and make some lunch and dinner for a few days of this week. T minus one week till I head back to Wyoming for Christmas.

Good morning all! Had an early morning drive in the fog to the airport. We're just waiting to board. We each have a carry on bag and backpack, didn't want to pay for a checked bag. I'm always hopeful that they will do a free bag check at the gate and that's what happened.

We'll get breakfast and tea when we reach our layover in Seattle!

Good mid morning all. My adventures with technology continued. Hubbs and I picked up his truck from a dealership. My car is the same make and the radio had stopped working mysteriously. We asked a 20 something at the dealership if he could take a look at it since we thought it was a case of too much fiddling and that someone more tech savvy could sort it out quickly. Kid #1 (who definitely favored aftershave :sick) scrolled and swiped and tapped multiple screens only to admit defeat. He got kid #2 who pronounced the radio DOA after the same routine. Later I did a minuscule research followed by a reboot. Presto! Radio normal and reception vastly improved. Just goes to show…

In Seattle and 3 gate changes later, we're waiting to board. So thankful we're still in the same terminal. One time we were on a trip and the plane for the flight going out before ours had mechanical issues. They gave them our plane and we were stuck waiting 8 hours for our flight. At least we made it home... eventually...lol

I saw without X, after a couple taps. Yep, all these big corps are screwing us over. That's not new BUT much of the inner workings are shrouded in secrecy. Many happenings we see and can't control. Buy all you can direct from the farm. I'm ready to do that!! Well, what I don't already raise. Also plan to do "more" home provisions. That's meats to be added.

I've been buying meat from a local farm. Once it's cooked any leftovers after 3 days are put in a plastic container with "sides", and frozen for an easy "TV Dinner" later on. It's one reason I was looking at glass for freezing leftovers.
