Good morning all! Had an early morning drive in the fog to the airport. We're just waiting to board. We each have a carry on bag and backpack, didn't want to pay for a checked bag. I'm always hopeful that they will do a free bag check at the gate and that's what happened.

We'll get breakfast and tea when we reach our layover in Seattle!
In Seattle and 3 gate changes later, we're waiting to board. So thankful we're still in the same terminal. One time we were on a trip and the plane for the flight going out before ours had mechanical issues. They gave them our plane and we were stuck waiting 8 hours for our flight. At least we made it home... eventually...lol
Prayers for safe travels! 🙏
I saw without X, after a couple taps. Yep, all these big corps are screwing us over. That's not new BUT much of the inner workings are shrouded in secrecy. Many happenings we see and can't control. Buy all you can direct from the farm. I'm ready to do that!! Well, what I don't already raise. Also plan to do "more" home provisions. That's meats to be added.
Private party sale here was the only way we could break even on cattle. That ended years ago. No one wants to actually raise their own meat now here. They want everything done for them. We can't hold them long enough here to do all the processing for them anymore. It became a huge loss for us plus near impossible to get animals into the locker for other people. Something we hope will change with our move.

Good evening all! Working on my first cup of coffee. :caf Didn't get much sleep. Tossing and turning. Guessing stress from packing and trying to get on the road. It's going to be ok. (breathing into a paper bag 😂)The range of emotions so far are quit odd to me. I haven't been upset yet about packing our house which I expected I would. We've built our life here. Interesting. I'm sure it will hit like a rock at some point. We'll hopefully get the few more furniture pieces loaded before DH needs to get to work. Then I can work on more boxes through the night.

Ok guys ... You westerners laugh but it's a feel like of 9 here right now!! :ep That's the worst of Feb weather for us and hard to deal. I just came in from a check on animals. I feel frozen. 🥶🥶🥶 WOW 9pm Not even coldest time of night, usually. 😖🥶🥶
Yeah, we are at ACTUAL 8... wind chills at 0 or a little below... YEP... Worst of late Jan/Feb weather normally... hoping it is blowing its self out to the east... and will quickly leave, and then just as quick blow through @Mini Horses area and go out to sea and freeze some fish out there or something....

Good morning, it is 26 degrees here. I spread pine shavings in the yesterday for sheep and dogs. Sheba goes across the driveway every evening to guard the 30 sheep in the night pen, plus @Margoli 10 sheep. Buford sleeps at the gate opposite the gate to the front field, the closest he can get to Sheba. Sheba usually sleeps at the hay bale on dropped hay. If it is raining, they will go in a shelter. If they are together, they will curl up in a shelter, usually a Quonset hut. I showed both of them the pine shavings, waiting on daylight to see if Buford abandoned his watch at the gate.

Good morning to both of you. Sorry it's so cold.
It's currently foggy and 40* here. Been foggy for quite a while now. I'm sure it's been at least a week now since we've seen the sun. Very gloomy and wet.
Finishing up for tonight.Very tired. Made progress on more packing tonight. Still not even close to being ready to leave. Things are really starting to look empty in the house. I can't believe how much is gone out of the house yet the trailer looks so empty still. That's a good thing really. Means more goes in one trip. Hopefully tomorrow when we get up we can make even more progress. Have some more bigger cabinets to load which will take up some space but I'll put boxes in them before closing them up and wrapping them for transport. Trying to pack every inch I can. Would be really great if we are both very wrong on our load estimates. Will keep working on it.
Y'all have a great day! Stay warm everyone! I'm powering down and headed to unwind and go to bed.
:hugs
