Weather -- ah yes, the forecast frenzy for us was and so far is just a lot of hot air. Hmmm
close to literally hot air - warmer than normal. The "big one" that was supposed to hit Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with 4.35 inches gave us under 3/4 inch. I'm happy with that - gives the ground a chance to absorb it. We're supposed to get just over half an inch sometime today. Looking at the clouds doing an old fashion (and much more accurate) guess - we'll get a little wet today - maybe. We did have some pretty rough winds here. No damage. Places where trees should have been trimmed took a lot of damage in branches and trees down. One tree did unfortunately come down on a person in San Diego 
. Before we moved to the ranch we had a lot of eucalyptus trees - when it was windy we stayed clear of them. No flooding in our county, there is in other areas - esp LA area getting hit - of course the fires there early this year have a lot to do with that (gov and mayor have not let hardly anything happen in those areas to prevent things). Media would have the world think the whole of CA is underwater and it isn't
but I guess it is financially

Yesterday was a calm and easy day. Went to DS and DDIL for prime rib dinner - yummmm. And of course got to have DGS Kit time 
. Will put some pics in my ranch journal.
Slow to start today, but I'll go out and graze a bit -- Obi and Zo will be very appreciative because Ree is just out of season and Sage is still IN. Time to clear out their noses!

day! Did a couple of things, wiped me out. Now I'm saying good morning from my couch. I don't think I'll accomplish much today, but I will get a few things done. Was supposed to go to town with hubs, make a dump run, get the oil changed in the pickup, he's on his own. I don't think people would appreciate me hacking and coughing at the dealership...lol We paid around $800 for lifetime oil changes when we bought the pickup in 08, we have gotten our money's worth. Paid for itself in just a few years. We have over 200k on it, so free oil changes are a very nice thing, especially with the price of fuel in commie WA.

I love to drive. We always joke that I'm his chauffeur, get him there and back again...lol

Dale gets sleepy in the car, even when he's driving. Me on the other hand, I rarely fall asleep in the car, I have to be sick or exhausted and even then it doesn't last, any odd movement or sound snaps me right out of it. I would have been a good long haul truck driver...lol
