Sigh - more unseasonable warm 56-77. I know most of you would like that, seriously we should be looking at our low 56 for the high. And - it aint gonna get better, hello rattlesnakes 😠 it's almost your weather. Ah crud - I've got to be careful again starting now.

We really need the cold temps now too. I worry about the local fruit trees budding too early and then a cold snap killing off the bloom.

I know I have a lot to do today, but the only thing I'm going to say I'm doing for sure, is baking my sourdough bread. I've had jobs planned every day this week and every day those plans have been tossed aside to do things unplanned, so, I'm not going to speak out loud any more plans...lol

Think I'll heat the oven and have a cup of tea while my bread bakes!

Have a lovely day! 💞

Well, I achieved my first goal. My sister in law gave me bread bags for Christmas. I finally get to try them out. 💞

Now, I will tackle the kitchen. Who knows what will happen after that...lol

Well.... roaring winds up here.

We went up to maybe 34 or so yesterday, which is a nightmare. Remember we were up to a nice layer of snow everywhere, which will now be ice.

Then it sleeted, then it maybe snowed.

Anyway, the wind is now roaring, and we are still right at freezing... so nasty something coming down.

Also, the power has gone out.

Baby lamb formula
1 gallon whole milk
1 can evaporated milk
1 cup buttermilk

Pour out 3-4 cups milk, add evaporated milk and buttermilk. Add back in whole milk to top it off. Cap and shake well.

When I have only one bottle baby, I don’t add the buttermilk to the gallon jug. If not used quickly the buttermilk will thicken the milk, so I add 1 tablespoon buttermilk to each cup of formula as it is used.

Caleb had his first "wait in the car" today, about 5 minutes. He did well, no yipping, didn't seem upset, though I did get a kiss on my ear after I got back.
