They are awesome. We just started last April, so coming up on a year. I'll have to learn how to make more items from them.
Are you taking your bees?
They are the most incredible creatures for sure.
We are taking our equipment. Most is there already actually. Just need to clean up the hives then pack them. Sadly I caught the most incredible HUGE swarm this year right before I started doing hospice care for an aunt in law. Lost our 2 colonies (that’s all I want to maintain) due to queen issues the previous season. Learned a hard lesson on certain mite treatments and queens. Due to running 24 hours a day doing hospice and ranching I wasn’t able to maintain my colonies regularly and they swarmed and left. Bought a new queen and she left taking pretty much the rest of the remaining colony with her. Knowing I would be overstretched with the hospice and then the trust I left the hives empty. Unfortunately the bins I had everything in must not have been sealed well enough and everything got overrun with wax moths. So I have a lot of cleaning to do before they go. I’ll probably trap a couple swarms next year and start over again there.

Fresh (hot) out of the canner. Tangerines, sugar, honey, OJ, ginger and cinnamon.

That does look awesome.
But if I am dragging my failing almost corpse over a dessert.... I was hoping for a pie. I am not sure which kind, but I was thinking there would be zero traction on a banana cream... maybe a chess pie, or a sawdust pie! :drool

Coffee is ready. On my first cup. Tinkerbelle and Maybelline have been fed their bottles and got clean potty pads. When it gets daylight I'll go feed the orphans. The ram lamb yells when he sees the bottle, I have to catch, hold and practically force feed the ewe lamb. But we're getting there. Granddaughters go home tomorrow, I'll take them after church to meet my DD and DSIL at my sister's house.

Only 5°F this morning, the wind has finally died down, but will be back Tuesday. Usually winds come in March/April then October/November and that's it.
Was supposed to have my truck wrapped in decals by now after trying two companies in town over the past year, nope. Guess my money isn't good enough, I'm going to Billings, MT now. Buy local to keep small town and small businesses local, yeah right. I gave up on this town long ago, I see where I live at out here as a town of it's own, doesn't make sense to have an address of a town over 35 miles away.

Warmer today...mid 50s they say. That'll be great! It's 35 & sunshine now... better than earlier in the week.

Coffee! Yes! Hot, strong, fresh and delish for a start up. Feed chores await. I'll take a "check butts walk by" while they're eating. Don't think I have any real close. Probably nothing until mid Feb. We'll see. Then I'll go handle the current kids for a while -- makes them so much easier to handle as adults.

I need to preg test Pia...yes, named as she's a true P.I.A. A big beautiful doe structure wise, tame but -- if not bred this year, gotta go. Hoping she's bred!

Cleaned feed storage yesterday before unloading truck. Mixed a couple hundred #tub so ready to scoop & feed. That'll be 👍 Sure makes it faster for us all. Need to get back to that prepping.

-2 outside right now. Debating on if I need another layer for running. I'm getting more and more tempted to buy plane tickets to go somewhere warm for a few days.
Need to get a long run in soon, and be done midday to go watch basketball. Will be watching the Broncos play at the same time.
I say I want to spend less time at work when I don't need to be there, but I'll be there for a while today because I enjoy watching basketball.
Should start chugging my energy drink and dragging myself out to run.

We might end up on the same plane
