You go to DR in morning, right??? That's Tuesday.

Hoping some meds can get you straight. This stuff is pulling you down hard. 🫂 I'm sorry. You've had it longer, maybe you shared something 😵‍💫 sinus...not uncommon this time of yr

Prob this given DA...
Non-Opioid Suppressants:
Benzonatate (Tessalon Perles): Anesthetizes stretch receptors in the airways, reducing the urge to cough without being a narcotic.

Yup, Dr in the morning... could've shared it with DS, but the kids have had all sorts of stuff from school too since Christmas, so who knows... I have had this stuff since mid-Dec but was never "too bad" to stop me... felt lousy but ..... well, now it is "too bad"....

About the same, it takes alot to go to the barn, and to water/feed the chickens. Cancelled all the farm testing this week.

DS has been feeling bad, he went to his dr today, and has a serious sinus infection, and something else... they put him on amoxicillin with something else, and bentonate ? spelling... it is to stop coughing... I have that... although he said he feels like he is out of "wind" they said his lungs are clear... so it is not just me... he has been fighting it also... I just have had it longer...
I'm so sorry to read this. Will keep the prayers coming your way. :hugs

Good evening everyone! :frow
Busy day so far. Nothing bad which is nice. No new injuries so far but the night is still young. 😂 All 3 calves are doing well. Heifer is still holding out. Send a video to the dairy to see what they think and they agree she's going to be another 3-5 days pending barometric pressure swing then she'll go earlier. Holding out more and more hope it's going to be a bull calf. 🙏 Got the newly weaned steer (remaining off our nurse cow) moved to another pasture and out of the corrals now that he's settled down after being cut off from the milk wagon. Nice to have him on pasture and off the $24 a bale alfalfa. 💸 Put another 3 pounds of butter up tonight and have another batch of cream warming. Splurged tonight and ordered a new 2 1/2 gallon butter churn. This 3/4 of a gallon (technically should be 1/2 gallon) per batch is really slowing progress. When they say it's a 1 gallon churn they don't mean you can put a gallon of cream in it. Looking forward to the new churn coming. Especially if I'll be temporarily milking 2 at once. I'll hopefully have our main cow on pasture with her two calves before the second heifer calves. I really don't want to milk a cow and two heifers at once. Would really like to get a really good stock in the freezer of butter so when I'm back to moving we have plenty and I'm not trying to make butter in between things. That's the hope. Also need to fill the freezer with jars of cream for coffee to get us through moving.
Got all the sheep stock done from the sheep butcher. Need to clean the freeze drier and get a load started but it's been cold enough it wouldn't be happy. Might have to package it up and put it in the freezer and wait until we move. Would prefer to have the freezer space but we may not have a choice.
It's been foggy all day again. Socked in tonight. Anxiously waiting for word that DH made it to work safely. I sure won't miss his hour commute on windy 2 lane roads with people who are in too much of a hurry and try passing with traffic coming head on. My dear friend gave me a reminder today of what is waiting for us at our new home. It was needed. They try and remind me things are different out of CA and I need to learn to trust again. Scary thought. The previous owners checked in today. We really are blessed to have them. They offered to go by the house and check on things for us when they are back in town before going to visit more family. They haven't found a new home yet. We offered to let them stay there but they already have a place lined up. I know God will provide for them as he has us but I wish they would find a new home so they can get back to living. I'll be glad to hear things are ok at home. DH is getting closer to getting a load ready to take out there. I'll really feel a lot better once he's there and things are starting to get ready for us. Not to mention cameras up.
Well it's time to milk. Hope y'all have a blessed night! :hugs

Coffee is ready, on my first cup. I fed the 2 demon children, (Lambs) and tossed them outside. It's dark, cold, they are running up and down the porch, probably have peed puddles on it. Their potty pads in the dog crate were just soggy, dripping. I cleaned that up and put down new pads. Gotta get some more today. I picked them both up and they are heavy, I should step on the bathroom scale and weigh them. The ewes in the front field usually sleep out in the open in the night pen, but when temperatures dip down in the 20's, they huddle up in the cow panel shelter. I have a small tarp tied on the fence at the north end of their shelter to help keep the wind off of them.

Up early after getting about 5 hours straight last night. Most I have slept at one time in maybe 2 weeks... usually is about 2-3 hours then up to the bathroom and or coughing, nose blowing.
Staying up to get dressed in a few to go to Dr appt at 7:45... going to start car and let it warm up a bit so it is not so da#%ed cold to drive... it is down to 13 and might go one or two degrees colder before the daylight. Wind chills today are supposed to be in the 0 to -20... with real temps not getting out of the 20's all day.
Keep telling myself it is winter....

I'm glad I don't have your winters and you are glad that you don't have my summers. Supposed to have rain on Saturday with a possible wintery mix. Oh joy. I'll be taking my horse to my new neighbor's barn because I don't have a shelter for him. I don't want him out in the wet cold and she has graciously offered him a stall. It's been cold here at night, but not wet. He's lived in a barn most of his life, pretty boring life if you ask me, but I'm not going to make him stand out in freezing rain. I thought I'd have a 3 sided shelter up by now, but things keep happening, the week I spent as a juror in that murder trial, lambing hit and I was scratching up pallets and building jugs, had the granddaughters for a week. yesterday was go get feed, then I went and got hay, pine shavings and a new water bucket for Max's Hotel stay. And timing feeding bottle babies around all my schedule. Today is the food bank day and I love going to help pack up the food and put it in the cars and trucks as they pull up. Then I've got to rush home to feed lambs, then to Lufkin to get groceries plus some other stops, tomorrow go back to Lufkin to pick up grocery orders for my SIL. I'd do it today but that would run me over the 4 hour window I have between lamb feedings.

You've got quit a schedule Bay! 😵‍💫 Nice neighbor has a stall to lend. Horse will feel at home, he's barn trained.

Colder here today than I thought it would be. Wasn't paying attention 😕 and it's here. 25 now & mostly in 30s all day 🥶. Might go to work today, instead of Thurs, which is supposed to be a hot mid 50. More to my liking for temps.:D =D Filled water tubs last night so just break a little ice this morn...I hate winter!

First cup of coffee seems a luxury each morning. Every notice that? Relaxing & invigorating at the same time. Especially in the rude winter cold 😁 every year I dislike winter more.
