Coffee is ready. I'm gonna tear out the floor in the open front shed. That isn't going to be any fun. It's put together with ring shank nails.
Those are not fun. That's what we used in our floors. They go in pretty good, they don't pull out so easy.

Morning all!

Woke up early so I could check in for our flight. We were able to choose seats for the first leg, but not the second when I booked or flights. Well, we don't have seats next to each other on the second flight. Sometimes they can take care of that at the gate. If not, oh well, hubs will probably sleep anyway, not me, I rarely sleep in cars and I never sleep on planes...lol.

My agenda for the day. Visit with everyone here.💗 Make breakfast for hubs, kick him out the door to go play golf. Finish packing. Wash my sheets, I love crawling into clean sheets when I get home from a trip and it will probably be after 11. Finish up any other laundry. Top off chicken feeders, clean their water bucket and fill with fresh water. Make a list of things for my son to do while we're gone. It's a very short list. I'm sure there will be other things added in throughout the day. Thankfully we got the outdoor, hard labor done yesterday.

Hope temps are improving across the board and everyone has a good day! 💗

Time for tea! 🫖☕🍯

Today is a duh. Breakfast never happened (for me). Looked outside to see two guys were about to open my house access gate. The one with the sign that reads “Livestock Guardian Dogs on Duty. Do Not Enter Without Assistance “. Next to that is a yellow diamond shaped warning sign with a Rottweiler “ I Can Make It To The Fence in 5 Seconds. CAN YOU?”. Dogs are barking from a distance but obviously loose. Shxt. I got them stopped before anything Darwinian happened. Power company. Please boys, put the bubble on your truck. I have no idea who you are. They proceeded to do whatever, in the meantime I noticed a ewe struggling. Lamb jam. Cork in a bottle. Pulled it but I don’t think it will survive. I did set up another dog crate chateau with appropriate amenities and got a couple of swallows of otc colostrum into it. The ewe was headed southeast at a high rate of speed. Moses needed to be walked to the house and was yanking me right and left. Enter the pinch collar. That’s enough of that Buster. He got the point(s). Power guys gone, surveying lunch possibilities. And lamb care.

Started mid teens, going to mid 30s. :celebrate they even scrapped my road this morning! Now if only it dries before temps drop, it'll be good. Was supposed to work today but rescheduled that.
Tomorrow I'll do closest store.

Snow is still here but thinner layer of ice on tubs. I'd refilled all about 8 pm, so that helped! So slow to trudge thru, carefully. Goats are eating way more hay than normal -- digestion makes body heat. Looks like we're going to be past the single digits after today 🤞 I'm a cold wuss. Hate this cold & snow.

It's been a winter to remember.
