Breezy, cloudy and cool this morning after yesterday’s rain. I’m thinking we got around an inch but I haven’t looked at the feed-bunk-o-meter yet. Barky dog weather. It actually feels like spring but we are dry. As Texas contemplates data centers etc. a person has to wonder where the water will come from. Certain theorists think extensive cloud seeding is planned, yikes. Now more than ever we need sensible decision making, not irresponsible developers flogging through the countryside. I remember the Waxahachie supercollider project from the ‘90s that was a horrible fail in all directions. Presently I can’t find anything but vague information about who owns or uses the site- seventeen miles of tunnels “ flooded to maintain structural integrity”. Sure they are. Probably bunkers for the uber wealthy. Or a Bigfoot Rehab Center. (“Doc I can’t even go for a walk in peace. Makes me mad enough to throw rocks.”).
Did I mention I’m trying to quit coffee? Day three.

They want to build an AI center here. The cost of power will go up, they will fail, the government will bail them out which means we will bail them out! It's going to cost the taxpayers living here a lot of money.

You can replace the coffee with tea. Or Crio Bru... it's roasted chocolate. You brew it in a French press. Gives you energy, without the caffeine. Comes in light, medium & dark.

??? Really?

My mother was told to decaf -- due to meds -- but actually it's been found that coffee has many healthy benefits. So a lot of decaf instructions have waned, unless counter active for some drugs. They might want to look harder at slowing the drugs!

Agree - YIKES. They seem to think short. I think - ok we seed those clouds, get that rain, then what happens to where that rain would've ended up? Or - how did that moisture in the air help us and now that it's been taken what next?
Don't think I'm alarmist, but I do try to think beyond the immediate.
Heading for another coffee - grazing all done for the day. Went out with a dear friend who is an amazing photographer and artist. She got to take pics. A little different grazing moving Obi and or sheep to get good pics. It was a ton of fun for all. Yes, including the sheep and Obi.

When I had access to PubMed and other scientific journals I would print out and post all the coffee/caffeine studies. Three cups of coffee (NOT decaf) has repeatedly been linked to lower, much lower cancer risks, especially pancreatic cancer.

So, I've been thinking, is that a good thing or a bad thing, I don't know! If Beekeepers & chicken keepers were called Bee herders & chicken herders, I could then get myself an LGD! I would love a Buford or Zo or Obi or Sheba or Osel. Just a thought!
I'm a chicken tender :gig

I'm third generation no coffee/tea/alcohol/tobacco...although I will occasionally drink a zevia Dr pepper or cola to push myself past dead tired or fight off a migraine resulting from doing the former. The grandparent that started the trend is 93 and still mentally sharp/normal and still a normal level of physically fit (....regardless of studies I should probably lay off the caffeine if I want to follow suit). Coffee sure smells lovely though, so I don't mind a bit when someone does brew or drink it.

I think the two best smells are bacon frying, and coffee brewing.
