My surgery is set for March 18. He said I'd be down about a month. :he :he :he :he :he :he :he :he :he :he :he

I hurt myself on February 2, haven't I been punished enough??? wait two more weeks for surgery, then down another month?

But then you will be able to start building your strength back up and you will feel so much better. 💗

You will also be more careful because you don't want more down time! 😉

Buford's puppies will be 5 weeks old when your down time is complete. You need to be healed before he/she comes home.

I lived in Missouri for a short time when I was in the 4th grade. I witnessed the most spectacular lightening storm. An old man that had lived there his entire life said he'd seen some amazing storms over the years, but he'd never seen one like that before. I'll never forget it. It was actually quite terrifying, I crawled into bed with my parents and that's where I stayed...lol

We saw another phenomenon when we were there. We were driving, I think it was near Springfield. It was raining and then it started raining tiny frogs, they were bouncing off the hood of the car, craziest thing I've ever seen.

I hope everything comes together as planned for your next trip. Home is getting closer. 💞
We had a freak thunderstorm here at the beginning of winter I think it was. Never seen anything like it here. It was more like I'd expect from the midwest. We had one strike right over our house that scared the pee out of me. It was deafening. Never heard anything like it before. Started a couple fires and knocked out our power. The rest of winter so far I've had some anxiety I didn't expect from it. Very odd reaction. I was out in the garden and there was some lightening way off in the distance and I ended up having to come in the house. The closer it got the more anxious I felt. It never even got close but that apparently didn't matter.
I've never heard of raining frogs except in movies. That's wild! Not sure I'd know how to handle that one. 😂
Thank you! :hugs
I've read about raining frogs, they get sucked up into the clouds.

I have no words. :ep
Kill it!!!!!!!
;)

I don't like bullfrogs, they eat all the other frogs and tadpoles, small birds, goldfish in my ponds. I used to have treefrogs singing love songs at night, but the %$#@! bullfrogs ate them, and their tadpoles. Last year I removed close to 20 bullfrogs from my two 100 gallon ponds.
I didn't know that! We have some in our new ponds. Sounds like I'll be learning how to trap/catch them and having some frogs legs.

Good evening all! :frow
Got the remaining taxes inputted into the system today. Probably a few more to trickle is as I remember something I forgot but for the most part I'm done. I'll do the reports once I've gone through a few more things that have gotten stacked up in packing. Everything is such a mess.
Fixed hot wire again and separated the calves off the heifer for the afternoon. DH really wants some ice cream so I need to milk again for the weekend.
Supposedly there's going to be more thunderstorms at home tonight. Will have the camera's up while I work just in case it does happen. So far today no more camera's have gone down. Thankful for that.
Today's our friday so I have some extra things to get done tonight. We're planning on packing as much as possible this weekend. Getting the trailer finished. DH is going to rotate my rigs tires in prep for the next run. I really want to be able to just pack my stuff for living on the trip and hook up and go once the cows are done.
The feral kitty officially has a name. Her name is Sara. DH has agreed it's a good name for her. She's coming along ok. She's starting to purr when we pet her but she still gets scared. Gave her a toy today since she's started playing in her pen now. She's been having a good time. Hoping to get the living room squared away enough so boxes don't fall on anyone then we'll start working towards letting her out of her pen. She does need a treatment of probably Ivermectin for what appears to be mites. I can't take a sample and test as she's not that far along yet. I'm hoping to get a dose on the back of her head at some point very soon and hopefully that will take care of them. She barely trusts as it is so I'm hesitant to dose her and make her go back to complete distrust. I certainly can't dose in her ears right now.
Don't think there's anything else exciting. I'm super happy to have the majority of the taxes in the system now. That's huge. Will get it finished up hopefully next week at the latest if not tomorrow before DH gets up.
Hope y'all have a blessed night! :hugs

We Who Are Older must live with more fragile bodies. I Know. It’s frustrating. Set up help. And take care of yourself. I don’t mean to sound condescending but many of us here including yours truly are dealing with new realities. Plus a limited availability of medical care which in my opinion will only deteriorate for older people. My thoughts about Kennedy are quit wasting time on food dyes and look into medical insurance and how it affects our care.

I'm sure sore-ish at wake up more than in yrs past! This past week it's a lot of tenseness from my mind not relaxing. I do try to be careful working. Our muscles deteriorate in our prime :hide

Another great weather day here. I'm loving it! It's an amazing 58* right now, upper 70s again later. 😁 I'm working half day but will enjoy the afternoon at home.

First cup of coffee and I'm tired. I fell asleep in my recliner after 8:00 last night, woke up after 11, went back to sleep after 1.
Once my back was better, I've been walking to build up strength and stamina. My step counter on my phone has dutifully let me know that My activity level bottomed out, but has come up a little.

My 10k steps equals 20k plus steps for the wife, it's cute to compare numbers in that regards. I have a 46 inch stride that maxes out at 5.1 miles per an hour according to my watch. We take hikes around our properties and she has to constantly double time it to keep up. Even with this injury I'm maintaining 3.7 mph, just 4k less steps.
