It's an icy, but not all the way iced, mess outside... with the snow supposed to let up. Dang it. Oh well, only like a week, maybe, until Yellowstone closes for the winter, and winter tourism season ends. Then we get a month until the summer opening and craziness.

Got my short workout in this morning, now time to head back to work.

@Weldman I know how your wife feels. I adored my big brother when I was a kid and followed him trying to keep up. He was tall, long legged and I had to scramble to keep up with him. So I wound up taking long steps and I kept that. My normal walk leaves others behind. I have slowed down a little, but my brother taught me to "step and fetch it."

Mine came from my dad as a kid "keep up or get your arse beat", then came the military and it was "move with a purpose", I already did by then. Take in account I could flatten 2 miles in less than 10 minutes in my prime. Amongst other things as a child, I was military material by the time I got there. You will take a hit when in a fight, how well you can take a hit goes far in who wins and I was hardened in that regard.

Ha -- you're in that. Same here.

Ah the phone step counter and it's oh so holy "Move Rings" -- turned that off long ago (it was fun when it first came out as I always beat it). Must've got turned on in some recent update because it keeps telling me I "didn't close my move ring - try harder tomorrow" - Of course I didn't - the phone was sitting on a table/counter/fence post for awhile. o_O
I think I should strap it on one of the dogs sometime.
Though the last couple days I've closed it and then some - and gotten "praise" from the phone. Of course I did - it was in my pocket the whole day, and I'm weed whacking and listening to Audible books for hours doing it.

First cup of coffee and I'm tired. I fell asleep in my recliner after 8:00 last night, woke up after 11, went back to sleep after 1.
Once my back was better, I've been walking to build up strength and stamina. My step counter on my phone has dutifully let me know that My activity level bottomed out, but has come up a little.
My watch tells me things like that and I tell it to shut up and mind it's own business, especially when I'm working in the kitchen.

Hubs and I will be heading towards the car from the store and I'll realize he's cutting across from a different direction. He can't keep up with me. He's 6', I'm 5'3". In all fairness he's almost 6 years older, we used to be more evenly paced.

Wife is 5’ and I’m 6’ yet I’m 5 years older than her. She still can’t keep up. She runs all the time and in the gym, still can’t keep up.
