Coffee anyone ?

I took Caleb to the park before 9am, but realize that I need to go earlier...the idiots who can't/won't control their dogs were out in force. A young couple was walking what appeared to be a grossly overweight French bulldog, and it was a nasty, snarly beast. They kept standing still on the woods path, so I walked slower to not get too close. At one point they were just standing still, and we had to pass by. It went full attack mode at the end of the leash.

It's the weekend and Saturday's are the worst. Typically, when I go out for dog training I don't do weekends because of the masses -- people off work and kids out of school.
Though - I will admit that while during the week early in the morning it's watch out for the homeless/vagrants -- they have taken over the parks and strip malls.

Crime is why I won't walk The Greenway here, solo walkers have been robbed and/or assaulted. I stick to well populated areas.

I’m saddened that so many people have had to change their habits to stay safe. It stinks and it’s a symptom. For myself I refuse to have anyone here unless Hubbs is here. For anyone who missed the story there was an incident with a delivery man who went scary axxhole. I got to safety but Always Trust Your Instincts. And it’s better to apologize for a misunderstanding than to be lunch for a monster. So many businesses subcontract deliveries to GOKs (God only knows). Again a symptom. Yikes what a bummer post. Just stay alert and safe.

In Houston there is a mall called Greenspoint Mall. It is nicknamed Gunpoint Mall. Houston has always had a high crime rate. My parents moved there when I was 8 years old. When I graduated high school, I left and never looked back. I can remember the 10:00 news anchor saying, "Another murder in the murder capitol of the world." there are still lots of murders, but they no longer announce it as the murder capitol of the world.

I'm home today. I'd like to do nothing but, farm work needs to happen. So I'm have my morning "coffee with friends" right here on the couch 😊 Worked 5 long days this week, OT one full day. Probably a lot of walking today. That cold storm day on Thurs sent some feed bags flying, plus some buckets are MIA, need to find those -- plus, plus, plus! Some inside catch up & I have at least started the DW & a load of laundry. Good start. Now enjoying this fresh made coffee. Y'all have a great day!

Not too bad this morning... 38, sun coming over hill. Have to go to snyder's and get the feed out of the explorer and into the cans before I go to work this afternoon to test... rain coming in tonight and have a high wind and severe weather warning for tomorrow with T-storms and blowing winds.... Not wanting to deal with the muddy ground tomorrow, plus DS has 2 dr appts tomorrow in Roanoke, and we sill probably stop at the small sale on the way home since it is Monday...
Going to be nice in the 50's-60's today then clouds coming in later.

Couple of feet of snow on the ground and it's only 5°F this morning. Going to sit here some more and draw more on the house. Have to pay to convert the files to PDF before any ICF company will do a material take off list for the roof. Guess I better figure that out so they can fight with that while temperatures rise here. It's getting to zero hour to get the materials in.
